A Sea Knight helicopter crashed Wednesday in an insurgent stronghold northwest of Baghdad, killing all seven people on board, the military said, the fifth chopper lost in Iraq in just over two weeks.

How many American soldiers were killed, I'd like to know those specifics. Deaths are terrible, no matter who, but it is curious to me that the story doesn't say who died.
I work with the public and every single military person I talk to and every parent/relative/friend of anyone who has and is serving in Iraq wonders why the media here neglects to mention at all the positives, and there are many. It's a war. It's always bad, but, as in WWII, there is a chance to change that country; the Japanese were ferocious against the U.S., but look at them now. As was Germany and later the USSR. And China. Democracy can be put in place. This is the only way to work towards a more peaceful world. Having had a sibling do a year in Iraq, having friends and children of friends (these "children" are adults who volunteered for this work), what I hear from them is disappointment in our media and the portrayal they present of the situation to the American public.

as to the story itself. these deaths are tragic, especially since they didnt have to happen. my heart goes out to the families of every american and innocent iraqi killed in this criminal war.
the current administration should be tried under the RICO statutes. this war is an "ongoing criminal enterpeise" if ever there was one.
and before any1 says im not a patriot or dont support the troops... the "troops" have nothing to do with the lies and crimes of the administration. they have nothing to do with the criminally inept way the war is being fought either. for that matter, neither do the generals; if they disagree with Duh-bya they get fired. HE and DICKY are running the war, and badly, VERY badly.
they are doing the best they can in a bad situation (thats getting worse by the day) that they should NEVER have been put into i the first place.
how bout we "support the troops" by NOT sending them into places they dont need to be sent in the first place.
