Feb. 7, 2007, 1:04 a.m.The two Afghan men were taken into custody to determine their association with al-Qaida, the statement said.
Several militant groups including al-Qaida, the Taliban, and fighters for warlord Gulbuddin Hekmatyar, operate in eastern Afghanistan. The groups do not always operate together, though they may share the same goals.

The planning and cooperation with Al Queda origionated from Afghanistan for the attack on the world trade towers.

Feb. 7, 2007, 10:24 p.m.The entirety of the Middle East is infested with Al Quaida, does it really matter where they were found...as long as they were found? But you are right instead of being happy innocent peoples lives may have been saved, lets focus on what's really important...Bush Bashing and Anti-American propaganda.
