Posted by: Spadecaller 2 years, 10 months ago

"Every time Joe opens his mouth, he gets in the way of his message," said Carol Foyler, a media advisor to the Biden campaign. "Duct-taping his mouth shut is the best way to get his message out there to the American people."

The only way to prepare Senator Joe Biden for the 2008 run for the Democratic Presidential nomination is to provide him with a duct tape prophalactic.

I think we should duct tape all the politicians. Nothing much of what they say is worth listening to anyway.

Maybe everything they say isn't worth listening too because every single word is scrutinized by the press and pundants. The press and pundants then tell the public what the politicians meant.

Hence when Biden described Obama as articualte and clean, "clean" was insulting. I don't recall anyone claiming that Biden's use of "articulate" was demeaning ............... then Bush described Obama as "articulate" and that adjective was deemed to be insulting

No wonder they won't say anything off the cuff very often. Everything is so scripted because they know that every single word they say is parsed and the press and pundants are ready to jump on every word.

No wonder the debates have become almost useless. Memorize the lines and don't get in trouble. That is no way for the American public to learn what a candidate really stands for.

I really don't like either Bush or Biden but the uproar over their choice of words to describe Obama was ridiculous

Can we get that tape over his nose too?
