Tough Love: Grandma Turns In Shooting Suspect »

ATLANTA -- Tough love from a grandma landed a shooting suspect behind bars Thursday morning. Police say a southwest Atlanta woman drove her grandson back to a shooting scene and then forced him to turn himself in to police. Investigators say the man was wanted for shooting another man in a dispute over a girl.

    Yes! This woman is what true parenting is all about. Her honesty, wisdom, and courage are going to save this young man quite a bit of hardship. Also, the young man although certainly immature is not corrupt he'll pay for foolish actions but will look back at the situtation and see where life turned him around. Now I hope the other young man pulls through.

      GO GRANNY!!! we need more of this kind of parenting! kids are being raised today in a world of no consequence. for some reason, no one is responsible for their actions anymore, and that mentality is part of whats wromg eith america.

        Preach, people. I applaud her for teaching her grandson that seriously poor choices lead to seriously bad consequences. I hope, too, that her wisdom and resolve help this young man realize he's done more than ruin his life, he could have permanently incapacitated the other young man, or even killed him. I agree that her decision to make her grandson confess will help him immensely in the long run. With this life change, he could turn out to be very strong and wise himself. I hope that I'm that strong as a mom or grandma.
