Fast progress needed in South Korea trade talks: U.S. »

The United States and South Korea need to speed up talks this week on a free-trade pact to finish before a looming legal deadline at the end of March, the chief U.S. negotiator said on Sunday.

    The United States and South Korea also are at odds over a beef trade dispute that is technically outside of the free trade talks. However, senior U.S. lawmakers have warned that Congress will not approve a trade deal until Seoul completely reopens its market to U.S. beef.
