Its not only the FBI that has laptops stolen. Most of them go home with employees and never come back. The Watervliet Arsenal (now hows that for a queer name) had two high cost laptops come in when they were much more costly for two big shots in a weapons lab and after they were delivered to the supply area which is in a gated fenced in area they were never seen again. They were obviously stolen by the employees who no doubt quickly resold them on the street for a few hunbdred dollars. These are the kind of stories that never get into the newspapers. Were they ever recovered? No way. There is so much thievery in all federal agencies. The same ARMY activity had a security guard coming in after hours and loading wood sheets of plywood onto his pickup truck and was caught on a hidden camera. This was after so many sheets had disappeared. The chief of Watervliet Arsenal security guards was fired but allowed to keep hs pension after he was found to be collecting unused ammunition from other guards who he told to turn in all their unused bullets. He then put boxes of ammo together and sold them. There is nothing "Honest" about government.
