Bush orders more troops to Afghanistan »

President George W. Bush said on Thursday 3,200 more U.S. troops being deployed to Afghanistan will help NATO forces launch a spring offensive against the Taliban.

    "I've ordered an increase in U.S. forces in Afghanistan. We've extended the stay of 3,200 troops now in the country for four months and will deploy a replacement force that will sustain this force for the foreseeable future," Bush said.

    "These forces and funds are going to help President Karzai defeat common enemies," Bush said.

      I believe that the solution to the problem in Afganistan is not by military force or increasing the number of military might in the region. Rather the solution should be more of a political and ideological compromise with the enemy. Win the hearts of the Afgan people and your problem will be solved!
