Feb. 18, 2007, 9:01 p.m.As much as I really dislike Kurt Busch, I have to say that I admire the fact he took responsibility for taking Stewart out (although it wasnt really his fault). Great race and even greater finish.

Feb. 19, 2007, 1:59 a.m.the accidents were behind them & stoll happening -they were too colse to the finish line - if cautions had been used it would have looked very suspicious & taken away a breath taking finish

Feb. 19, 2007, 7:33 a.m.Great race, looked like old school racing before restrictor plats came in, good tire, good aero package, and great drivers. can't wait till next week.

Feb. 19, 2007, 8:38 a.m.I cannot understand why people enjoy watching cars go around and around in a circle.
The fans must be waiting for things like this to happen.

Feb. 19, 2007, 9:51 a.m.To get off topic slightly. What is everyone thoughts of having a foreigner (Toyota) join NASCAR?

Feb. 19, 2007, 9:56 a.m.A True Sport? Of course, according to Hemmingway, along with boxing, and bullfighting...maybe horse racing? Stick and ball activities are simply games. The really funny thing is seeing poker (as a sport?) on ESPN?

Feb. 19, 2007, 12:08 p.m.I wouldn't care if they had Borneo Motors enter NASCAR. I would rather watch grass grow or even paint dry.

Feb. 19, 2007, 12:13 p.m.Toyota
Sony
Panasonic
Shell
BP
A&P
Chrysler(Daimler)
HSBC
on & on lots of foreign Co.s employing lots of Americans
if American Co.s can't cut it too bad as long as there are major players to fill the void & give Americans jobs.
I watched Toyotas race at Daytona on my Sony HD

Feb. 19, 2007, 12:50 p.m.The real trick in watching NASCAR is to keep a log of how many sponsor's logo's you spot - the one with the most gets a cold Bud & a Marlboro

Feb. 19, 2007, 12:50 p.m.Yes, it was a great finish. The crashes were bad for the
drivers, but great for the fans. This is one reason they
pay big bucks to see a race. Ever notice how many flash
bulbs go off when they have a wreck.

Feb. 19, 2007, 1:35 p.m.Hey V.O.R. not all NASCAR fans voted for the idiot in charge of the country!!!!
And aceofspades1 if you like foreign products so well why not move overseas where the money is going, ever check the cost of living in Japan??? It is mindless dolts like you that has hurt our country. Example: Ford, Chevy, and dodge make cars just as well as the foreigners do. In fact the ford fusion beat the camry for quality this year, Gm has beaten Toyota in quality as well with the buick line-up 2years ago. And you could have bought a Zenith HD for about 40% less and they rate much higher at consumer reports. But you go ahead a blow your money on their products, in fact why don't you just go blow them.

Feb. 19, 2007, 1:43 p.m.This is one of the best races I have seen in awhile. You couldn't ask for a better finish, other than it would have been great if Clint Bowyer actually won the race on his hood!!

Feb. 19, 2007, 2:34 p.m.WHAT A GREAT RACE! I mean my guys didn't win, but the finish was exciting. I really wish Martin would have won. But anytime the Hendrick racing boys struggle, it's a good race. I can't stand how everyone thinks they are the best of the sport.

Feb. 19, 2007, 2:55 p.m.My definition of a sport is one in which athleticism in involved. All others are merely activities or hobbies. I mean does it take athleticism to drive a race car, no, talent yes, athleticism no.

Feb. 19, 2007, 4:28 p.m.People that follow NASCAR especially NEXTEL cup racing learn that there is alot more to the sport than going around in circles...there is alot of stratagy involved...and anyone that can control a car doing 190 mph in traffic like that has got my vote

Feb. 19, 2007, 4:36 p.m.I have to echo AmpLee's posting. 3-4 hours of constant stress instantaneous reactions to situations doing this at track temperatures of over 100 degrees. Having the visual accuity to space yourself within inches of another car at 180 MPH - truly atheltic.
Putting on layers of protective clothing going out on the ice for 5 min. hitting your opponent - sitting down for 10 min - professional hockey now thats a real athlete- HAHA

Feb. 19, 2007, 5:05 p.m.I do not consider it a sport to get paid 4 million dollars a year to play baseball...or basketball..or football..

Feb. 19, 2007, 5:14 p.m.BTW did you know it takes top athletic ability to be in a pit crew? Those guys are constantly working out & not only individually but as a team with one mind-- many races are won because of them

Feb. 20, 2007, 9:27 a.m.Before I started watching NASCAR- I didn't think it was a sport either. I mean I'm a football girl. So driving around and around couldn't be near as rough as running up the middle of a defensive line- could it? But now that I am a fan, I know it is just as hard. Not only physically but the mental aspects of NASCAR is strenuous. After this weekend, I have a new respect for Johnson. He really struggled with that car the entire race. I am not even sure how many times he gave turn 4 a love tap, but he never lost control. And you could see him struggling in there. If he wasn't an athlete, he would never have been able to control that car going 180 bumping and drafting. So even though I can't stand him usually, I do have a new respect for him as a driver.

Feb. 22, 2007, 11:40 p.m.Aceofspades1: At least foreign companies investing in the US are filling the void left by bankrupt American co.s & providing jobs for Americans - but I doubt you know much about having to work for a living. Ahhhh why do you think they went bankrupt Brainiac??? What are you 20, 25 yrs old. It really doesn't matter, idiots like you are the reason our local companies are failing. Just buy thir products because they are cheaper, or because they have a "Cool" logo. Jeezus go back to work flipp'n burgers Jr. And I have Worked since I was 9 yrs old and could buy and sell a little sleaze like you with the change in my pocket. have a groovy day Dumbass.
F.Y.I. I sell cars for a living, even the rice-burners you hold so dear to your heart.
