The silent, 8 mm color film is "the clearest, best film of Jackie in the motorcade," said Gary Mack, curator of the Sixth Floor Museum, which focuses on Kennedy's life and assassination.

The film ends with some footage the next day outside the Texas School Book Depository, the building from which assassin Lee Harvey Oswald fired the fatal shots.

The film shows a clear glimpse of President Kennedy and the first lady a few blocks from Dealey Plaza and roughly 90 seconds before the killing.

Does anybody know if this film has revealed more about this tragic event besides the fat that the motorcade was going waaaaay below the regulatory speed for a presidential motorcade? This video certainly raises many inquiring questions.

Thanks for a great article and post, as always STONERS!

Stop the press! Into about 1:35 minutes in the video I see a man in the crowd with a brown cardigan that looks a lot like Lee harvey Oswald! Check it out!

One would hope that this might get some folks to rummage around and see if they also have photos or film that they put away. The museum would like to have anything that can be found. I still remember exactly where I was that day.

There's almost certainly more videos and photographs out there like this... I think we might see more as those who were there that day get older and pass away.

Very interesting film footage. Guess they electronically "cleaned it up" because it sure looked clear and not grainy. Plus the colors hadn't deteriorated over time. Saw it on the news last night. It didn't seem to show anything very revealing about the actual assissination. For some reason this film seems to make it seem more "real" than the Zapruder film. Maybe because of it's clarity. Maybe because we haven't seen it over and over yet.

I surely hope that if anybody has any pictures or videos of this they will come forward with them.

Very interesting... I can see the Secret Service was situated far behind JFK's limo as well as the motorcycle cops, plus all the windows in buildings enroute were opened and unsecured. Not very S.O.P. security wise...looks like somebody deliberately dropped the ball....
