The Neo-Con Dog That Isn't Barking »

Posted by: Spadecaller 2 years, 9 months ago

For several weeks now, Washington has been abuzz with rumors that U.S. President George W. Bush is preparing to attack nuclear and other sites in Iran this spring -- rumors deemed sufficiently credible that lawmakers from both parties are hastily preparing legislation precisely to prevent such an eventuality. The evidence cannot be ignored.

Itchy trigger fingers of known warmongers and profiteers do not rest well with sober minded observers. The world is watching, Geoge.

Tertiary neurosyphilis, is the most interesting form of syphilis from a cultural point of view.

Just before the onset of paralysis, the sufferer is beset with delusions of grandeur, a sense of understanding everything, a sense that he is on the verge of some monumental discovery which will forever change the course of history, as well as a sense that some divine electricity is coursing through his veins."

The notion that we, in fact, "have' a democracy that conducts itself as a democracy is preposterourous. We have the lawmakers of the people asking the executive branch to stand down and to desist, to withdraw the troops from further conflict, to consider a political solution due to a civil war, to avoid pursuing another war with Iran, and we ask with no authority, no governing body, and no due process that we can rely upon with trust in our fair representation.

Beyond the absurd debates of presumption and ineuendo, what authority does this electorate have? We know that nearly 70% of the American people are calling for the withdrawal of our troops from Iraq and yet the will of a dictator, one man, escalates the war-- committing even more troops.

To assume, to pretend, or even to hope that the will of the people would thwart the president's designs for a strategic attack on Iran is equally preposterous.

We are merely observers in a totalitarian regime.

I hope the American people are not foolish enough to tricked by the lies of this administration.

What's that old saying? "Fool me once, teach a man to fish,..."

          Something like that.

Neo cons and the Bush administration have clearly demonstrated that they don't want any diplomacy with Iran (Bush perpetually denying Ahmadinejad's request for a diplomatic), just war.

Spadecaller, you are so correct. We are the observers. We are also the victims. The administration has moved two aircraft carrier battle groups into the region and has ramped up the number of troops. The attack will begin on the heels of some trumped up tragedy that will kill many and at first appear to be an Iranian move. I do not put it beyond this administration and the neocons to stage such an event themselves and then point fingers. Iran will be attacked almost immediately thereafter. And few will have the temerity to suggest that it is a false incident manufactured by our very own people.

The media must be ready to seek the truth the moment this happens. We, as a people must be ready to greet any allegations with great suspicion. And we must demonstrate, write and insist that this not go forward. The article suggests that the attack on Iran may yet be a year away. It should never come. We must do all we can to insist that this administration be impeached NOW!

It's interesting to see how everything is being blamed on the "neocons". Some say that "neocon" is a code word for Jews. It'll be very interesting to see how this all plays out.

If the Iranians are allowed to continue their current "games", will those who condemn military action now accept responsibility for what comes next? I'm sure they'll have as much integrity as those who supported Chamberlain 70 years ago.

Bush thinks God selected him to be president, and that every stray thought that pops into his mind was put there by God. If war with Iran is one of those brain farts, the Congressional pansies with their "non-binding resolutions" aren't going to deter him. It's time to clear the junk out of the bomb shelter.
