Feb. 26, 2007, 11:12 a.m.One of the good things about whole grains is that they digest slower and thus spike the glucose in your bloodstream less ... important for type 2 diabetes. But the glaze will totally defeat that. If they could come up with something with Splenda instead ...
So this, while there are lower calories and whole grains, will still be off-limits to Type 2 sufferers.

Feb. 26, 2007, 12:40 p.m.This is obviously to make people feel less guilty about having a doughnut, at 180 calories from the 200-350 calories, people will just eat two.

Feb. 26, 2007, 1:34 p.m.I don't care if they make 'em outta whole wheat or no wheat, just bring back those great ol' maple cream-sticks!

Feb. 26, 2007, 2:41 p.m.This is news?
I had my first KK not long ago, and no thanks....a way too sweet. I can see how the butt would definitely not be the same after a regular diet of those.

Feb. 26, 2007, 3:04 p.m.Dunkin' Donuts? I'd rather eat dog vomit. Or Tim Horton's, whichever is easier to reach.

Feb. 26, 2007, 6:02 p.m.I'm not particularly a fan of Krispy Kreme. But isn't the basic idea of a donut to be somewhat indulgent? Why spoil it by trying to make a "health moment" of it?

Feb. 26, 2007, 6:41 p.m.I don't eat Dunkin Donuts, but I'm happy to oblige you.
It's entirely George W. Bush's fault.

Feb. 26, 2007, 7:31 p.m.Some folks prefer coarser grains, over that concrete-like bleached white flour - I do....plus, if I recall, Atkins-wise, isn't one single fresh, warm, delicious KK donut less-bad than a bagel, for instance? Show me a woman that won't eat one single fresh warm delicious KK donut, and I'll- I'll, ok, well...she oughta eat one once in a while.
Only blame Bush/Cheney if we find out the Saudis own Krispy Kreme.

Feb. 26, 2007, 6:59 p.m.KK Doughnuts are repulsive. The only time they approach edibility is *fresh* out of the cooking/glazing process. Five minutes later they're garbage.
It's the McDonalds of Doughnuts.

Feb. 26, 2007, 7:53 p.m.If they could make a pesto flavored doughnut! How about a doughnut with alfredo? Talk about a heart attack waiting to happen. Each one comes with a set of defib paddles.
The doughnut is by its nature, not a healthful food. It is to healthy eating what ketchup is to vegetables.
For healthier eating, I would take a rice cake any day. So I like the taste of styrofoam, sue me!

Feb. 26, 2007, 8:09 p.m.I don't like Krispy Kremes much, so maybe I'd like this version better. For one thing I don't understand why so many people seem to think healthy eating has to be an all or nothing deal. A little better is a little better. If someone who lacks self-control decides to eat more of them, chances are they tended toward binge eating to begin with. I can only eat so much before feeling full, no matter whether I eat donuts or rice cakes (I truly like both), and I tend to feel full sooner than most, so this won't make me overdo it.

Feb. 26, 2007, 9:46 p.m.Krispy Kreme management has no clue..It's about trans fats, you ninnies, not calories!!
They wonder why their same store sales and stock has been plummeting??
It's what the public wants, not what you think you can pawn off on them! We're getting smarter. Try to stay up with us or you'll be history..

Feb. 26, 2007, 10:36 p.m.One of the original donuts was 300 calories; they seemed to accommodate the palm of a small child, prior to the switch to whole wheat ... I certainly hope Krispy Kreme donuts didn't get any smaller ... when they created the healthy version. Do you suppose if they added All Bran to the donuts ... we could eat a couple of crispy cremes for breakfast and feel content in the fact that we had our fiber for the day ... Just add OJ and be on our way!

Feb. 27, 2007, 9:57 a.m.Whole wheat can still be overprocessed as they do in a lot of breads.
They should probably keep the same receipt. If they change they will loose whatever followers they have. The followers do not care about eating healthy.
People do not eat a lot of carbs and a lot are diabetic. They should work on a low carb-sugar free.

March 6, 2007, 3:33 a.m.You know what feels good? When a woman eats a doghnut of of my wanker and THEN gives me a BJ! What is a real woman? Opposed to a blow up doll he has been using? Trans Fatty Acids and Transexuals are two different things bumfug, but I suppose your blow up doll can't teach you that. Doghnuts are your special friend! I suppose you CAN learn a lot from a dummy! So I guess a BJ is out of the question?
