I do not think these people will loose any sleep over this. After all, they sold their own people into slavery as a lot of fellow mexicans do to their own.

Oh, B.T.W. leave Democrats and even president Bush out of this. OK!

The UN has waited so long that the violence is now spilling over into Chad and the neighbouring Central African Republic

More than 200,000 people have been killed and 2.5 million been chased from their homes in Darfur since 2003, when rebels from ethnic African tribes rose up against the central Arab-led government. (AP)

DETROIT: Sudan's president told attendees of the Nation of Islam's national conference via satellite Friday that the "United States is exaggerating troubles in his country's volatile Darfur region so it can control the country as it has in Iraq.

President Omar al-Bashir was invited to speak at the three-day convention by representatives of longtime Nation leader Louis Farrakhan.

He was enthusiastically greeted by several hundred people who chanted "Allahu Akbar," or "God is great," several times during his address"(AP 2/23/07)

            Isn't that just great!

Evelyna, You're an ignorant waste of an embryo. You don't care as I'm sure several people feel the same about your demise to come. And trust me it will come with an attitude like that. You'll find yourself feeling superior one day and someone will bring you back to reality, that you're inferior and have a pea brain.

But it's about flippin time! Although 2 is a start there are far more to come.

How should they handle those that were ordered to commit these crimes or else they threatened them and their families?

And what should we do about it, nostalgia asks?!! Something! We have justified war and occupation for the very same reason and less. Unfortunately, DamnLiberals maybe more right than you think. The truth hurts and we don't want to hear it. All we care about is chasing the mighty dollar regardless of the destruction it causes- manifest destiny complex. LMAO.

O and Chunjinhao go back to grammar school. Also educate yourself with something other than what our subpar schools feed us.

And if you didn't know once Portugal and Great Britain claimed to have returned Africa to its' own people a new oppressor moved in. Guess who it was? I'll let you marinate on that one. B/c if you don't know you should find out. Once you do it's all very eye opening!

And no North America isn't the root of all evils but our representatives and their personal motives have made the citizens of this country look like we're all bullies and that WE (for you- Chunjinhao) have no morals, mon - sat JUST SUNDAY.

WELL, I hope you're not talking about Zimbabwe here: "And if you didn't know once Portugal and Great Britain claimed to have returned Africa to its' own people a new oppressor moved in."

Once the Blacks took over 28 years ago and moved out 300,000 White families and their workers Zimbabwe has turned into a Paradise worthy of taking your family on vacation. You know, kinda like Disneyland. These African Blacks sure do know how to run a country!

Probably tried in absentia - who would go in there to capture them and drag them out

They can hold the trial for years - AKA Slobodan Milosevic - make it look like they are doing something.

if the US was really fighting terror it seems to me that they would of long ago taken out the "80 guys on camels ,with machine guns,"that ride village to village burning, raping and maiming

we dont need to occupy, we need a spc opts unit thats watching and when the janaweed moves ,take them out from ovrhead...i refuse to believe we rnt capable of this

many times my local paper has reported the janaweed burns 3 or 4 villages a day...when they r doing this,we should act

They should try and stop this, not just name war criminals.

It's a bunch of BS that they think will scare the criminals into stopping.

Surely, they could have come up with more than two names to start with. But at least it's a start.

But how does it help STOP the killing and brutality in Darfur?

                                  This is such a mess.

I guess you're right. It *is* going to be harder to prove the genocide that's taking place there considering the current tactics of the administration in lying about the numbers killed. That combined with the military's "protect your brothers in crime" policy will make it difficult to prove in the near future.

I guess history will have to reveal the true horrors taking place over there, since the supression of the media and any real accounts of what's going on there will prevent it from coming out any time soon.

I still wish someone would recruit security forces from the ranks of the Darfuri refugees, themselves. After all, they're the ones with the biggest stake in this mess. Since I recall reading a report last year about how one camp broke out in a riot during a UN official's visit, that tells me there are those among the wretched inhabitants of the camps who still have some fight in them.

I find it hard to believe that some 15,000 or so potential protectors can't be found among 3 million refugees.
