Feb. 28, 2007, 8:25 a.m.Face it people, it this day and age your kids will be exposed to porn in some kind of way despite even the mightiest effort put forth by some parents.
Just look at the bright side, porn can be educational for some.

Feb. 28, 2007, 9:18 a.m.These people ridiculous search for terror around every corner is ridiculous. What's next? Elmo is really a mini porn star? Dora the Explorer is seeling drugs?
It's a children's play thing and that is all. The children that this product is truly marketed to probably don't even know what porn is. But here's a little clue for this wonderful christian right extremist group. You think you can get porn through this product. Guess what?! these kids can go down to the local 7-11 and get porn too!!! Porn is on every street corner. What next... no freedom of speech. Now I'm all about limiting porn and keeping it in the realm of semi clean... but come on people! This is just ridiculous... IT's A TOY!!!

Feb. 28, 2007, 10:55 a.m.Seriously, all these critiques of video games and i have a question: where are the parents? You have children, accept the responsibility. Children shouldnt be sold inappropriate games and in many games, I think age requirements should be raised etc. but in the end I think it is up to the parents to make sure about what it is their children are doing.
Millions of kids are playing these games but only a minor fraction of them are acting negatively i.e. reenacting Grand Theft Auto-type games and drag racing or something.
Porn like others said is everywhere; the Wii is a game console not a video game itself. Even then, I am tired of parents being stripped of their responsibilities.

Feb. 28, 2007, 10:57 a.m.any time i see an article like this (about the horrors of kids seeing boobies or people having sex, violence in videogames/tv/movies/music, etc.) all i can think is: why is nobody addressing what the real problem is?
the real problem: parents don't want to, you know, parent their children. they want a magic box they can leave them in front of unsupervised.
if you're too ignorant or uncaring to talk to you kids about what they see on the internet or tv, then you're a horrible parent, and if your kid 'accidentally' sees porn or other offensive content, then it's *your* fault for not doing your job as a parent, not the fault of tv/hollywood/the internet/nintendo/psp.
and are there any guys here that never snuck a look at their dad's or their friends dad's porn stash when they were young? it didn't warp me.. unless making me think 'wow, naked ladies are pretty and make me feel funny' is considered being warped.

Feb. 28, 2007, 11:49 a.m.I heard on the radio recently that there is a proposal to transfer all porn sites on the internet to a .XXX domain name. That way, porn filter software would become much more effective (instead of, say, blocking sites that deal with breast cancer), and it would provide parents with an easy way to determine if their kids are actually watching porn behind their backs.
But of course, the conservatives are blocking this measure because they say it rewards the porn industry with special consideration, when what we should be doing is outlaw it. So much for free speech.

Feb. 28, 2007, 12:16 p.m.I suspect the validity of any story based on "secretive" anything. I do agree with those who say the problem with porn, be it Wii or computers or wherever, is the parents. We have 2 computers with internet. Both are in common areas and both are password protected. When either of our sons are on the internet, we are either in the room with them or could come in any moment. And, in case they are able to bypass the passwords, we still check history and temp internet files. The same goes for movies. When my son asks, "Why can't I see that movie when Johnny's parents let him watch it?" I respond, "Johnny's parents are responsible for him. I am responsible for you."

Feb. 28, 2007, 12:33 p.m.I think this is the first time whem there have been no stupid coments on a post and you all have hit the nail on the head, parents have a responsibility to teach thier children right from wrong, saying yes may be easy but saying no is sometimes better for them....By the way, why is everyone typing with a Scottish accent today?

Feb. 28, 2007, 12:34 p.m.i cant read the article, its blocked since im at work. can someone please tell me how a WII would be in any way related to porn?
is there a game where you can get people naked and do it?
or can you go online and browse porno sites?
or a game in which you can control a guy that you can use your wii-mote to simulate self pleasure? cuz if that last one's illegal i think i'd rather shoot myself now
