John Acerra, 50, of Allentown was arrested Tuesday in his office at Nitschmann Middle School in Bethlehem, where police said they found meth on his desk.

There was no indication that Acerra sold the drug to students, but Acerra did allegedly sell the drug from his school office after hours and on weekends, said Dennis Mihalopoulos, an agent with the Drug Enforcement Administration.

He should get the attorney that defended Marion Barry in Washington DC. No, never mind, just take him out and shoot him.

You just never know ... and I never cease to be amazed.

My friend who was a baptist Minister did this same thing, we knew something was wrong but never dreamed that it could be like this. I wonder how they decide this is the thing to do in their offices and around young people they should be setting an example for.

Very distressing. IMHO, (at least) two ways to look at it: (1) You can't trust anyone, even people you should be able to; or (2) under the right conditions, that could've been my neighbor, my cousin, my uncle, etc.

I don't know this guy. But obviously a pretty fair number of people thought he was OK. Maybe a lesson in our fallibility?

Here in my midwestern state, we have meth labs behind every tree in the back woods. My fervent hope is that they blow themselves up before their product gets to market.
