Supreme Court Gives Gore's Oscar To Bush »
Posted by: ind06 2 years, 8 months agoJust days after former Vice President Al Gore received an Academy Award for his global warming documentary "An Inconvenient Truth," the United States Supreme Court handed Mr. Gore a stunning reversal, stripping him of his Oscar and awarding it to President George W. Bush instead.

March 1, 2007, 2:45 a.m.The Court has also ruled that all royalties Gore is due to receive from "An Inconvenient Truth" will go to President Bush as well. The President has yet to decide whether to spend them on not funding alternative energy or not funding stem cell research.

March 11, 2007, 12:57 a.m.u idiot, there are many mexicans(illegal) that pay into many American's Social Security because they unfortunately don't have a valid SS# or can't abtain one... so they just pull any valid SS# just so they can work and provide for their families.... They dont get an income tax return and further, much of what they earn has to go back home to provide for their parents,grand-parents, or sibilings... Most work hard and long... what they do in one week, you couldn't do in a year's time. You're pathetic and an idot like most Americans are... I bet u voted for this idiot Bush...He's just a puppet. On another note, Mexicans are growing in numbers and i assure u they will become a political force to reaken with... (we are becoming more educated and have more resolve to get what we deserve...) sooner or later, it'll be "our way" or the highway for u idots!

March 1, 2007, 11:53 a.m.Thank you, as always, for that deep, penetrating and completely relevant analysis; I am sure it will propel you to the top of the neocon heap, where you clearly belong. Hint: wear noseplugs.

March 1, 2007, 7:23 a.m.It would be funny if it wasn't so sad.
The Supreme Court didn't give Bush the election. Every recount conducted of Florida's missing or hanging chads by every independent group and the press (NY Times, USA Today, Time Warner, CBS, NBC etc)had President Bush winning Florida. No recount conducted by any group had a different outcome. Gore did not win Florida and did not win the election.
What the Supreme Court stopped was the Democrats wanting to recount only certain Democrat majority counties when federal law requires recounting the entire state. Note Ohio in the last election.
And, if Al Gore is such a Champion of the cause, why isn't he speaking for free and donating his royalties to research for alternate fuels himself. Mr Gore is getting richer off this deal (check out his new multi-million $ home with 23 car garage). Try booking him to speak at your local rally and see how much it costs.
We would laugh if it wasn't so pathetic how people cling to a lie.

March 1, 2007, 8:59 a.m.The decision of the Court was party line all the way. Regardless if you are a Bush supporter or a Gore supporter, Gore would have been declared the winner if there was one more Democrat on the bench. Further, whether you are a Republican or a Democrat, that's a loss of democracy.
The question is, if the Court would have put Gore in, would we better off? While US wouldn't have invaded Iraq and be stuck in a no-win occupation, we probably wouldn't have attacked the Taliban either, who really, really needed it. Any thoughts about this?

March 1, 2007, 10 a.m.Al Gore, in collaboration with an unknown inventor, has just patented The Hamster Wheel Electric Generator. He hopes to have his lobbying group assist in forcing legislation that will require all homes be Hamster powered by 2010. He is now working on applications for the recycling of Hamster scat.

March 1, 2007, 10:55 a.m.All cuteness aside, THERE IS A FORMER PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE who is ACTUALLY CONCERNED about the amount of energy consumed by his residence!
His house is both HEATED and COOLED by a geothermal-based system. A simple water pump and controlled circulation system extract a constant supply of 67-degree water from a 350-foot-deep well and then distribute it as needed for either heating or cooling. The former candidate was actively involved in the system's choice and application to his residence.
This system uses no fossil-fuel energy, and it emits NO greenhouse gases as it quietly does its job.
The amount of energy consumed by this system is estimated to be LESS THAN ONE-FIFTH the energy that an equivalent "conventional" system would use.
That former candidate is PRESIDENT GEORGE W. BUSH, not the Glow Bull Worming HYPOCRITE, "Gulfstream Al."
Oh, but let's ALL remember that AlGore has the right INTENTIONS...
LOL! LOL! LOL!

March 1, 2007, 11:28 a.m.Great humor, "lest we forget." Once the Demos get a decently honest AG in office, it might still be time to clear up who did the crimes in the 2000 election even if it is too late to punish Kathryn, Jeb or others because of the time limit.

This is what real humor looks like; let the neocons take note.
It's especially relevant that it takes shots at Gore's weight* at the same time as it lampoons the neocon court's laughable pseudo-legal gyrations... (*ones that are actually funny, Rush and Ann; you could learn so much from this guy.)

March 1, 2007, 12:50 p.m.I think we should lobby Mickey D's NOT to build a branch less than .5 miles from the Gore residence. And he should be black listed from Wendy's, Jack-in-the-Box and KFC as well. I do not look forward to the earth tilting. On top of the global warming, it could be a real un-fun time here.
