Apple may use flash memory for notebooks: analyst »

Apple Inc. may sell zippy notebook computers later this year that use the same type of fast memory as music players and digital cameras, driving down prices of hard-disk drives, an analyst said on Thursday.

    No question Apple has a definite position well ahead of the res of the PCs industry.

    The lawsuits are just a natural byproduct of a society infested by greedy attorneys and people willing to eat a piece of the Apple pie.

      This rumor has been buzzing around for a couple of months now. They could really make it small if they integrated their patented touch-screen technology used in the iPhone into the display, thus eliminating the keyboard alltogether. Who really knows what kind of amazing confection Steve is making in his Wonka Factory?

        It's the World of Tomorrow Today--until I turn on my computer. Boot-up time? About five minutes, average. And this is with a relatively new HP laptop. Speed seems to be the last frontier of the digital age. (Hmmmm--is that a mixed metaphor?)

          The simplicity of this idea boggles the mind. I wonder if they can do it w/all memory?
