March 9, 2007, 4:01 p.m.They need to do another study of how much energy the internet saves. The cost of gasoline to go to a store rather than doing the online shopping. The cost of gasoline to go to the library for information rather than looking something up on line. The reduced cost of postage. How many mail trucks are NOT being used because people are using e-mail to keep in touch? How much paper is saved by reading the news online?
