Mr Molyneux says if games can offer excitement, why not love?

Veteran designer Peter Molyneux has said that he wants to put love into his next game, Fable 2.

"This is my bold claim - I need you to experience something in Fable that you as gamers have never experienced before," he declared.

Gamers will be able to start a family and watch their child grow over time.

Emotional reactions to gaming, such as love, fear and even empathy, remain the holy grail for many developers.

"Everybody is talking about emotion, story, engagement and narrative," Mr Molyneux said. "We have tried to approach it in a different way. We are going to explore love."

My neighbor next door, the chubby one, bought one of these games yesterday. It came with a little glass tube of sperm cells. She hasn't been out of her house for a few hours now.

The concept is interesting to me, but it kinda brings to mind a question,"Is this game for entertainment purposes or what is it?" I think that if you need a video game to experiance life, then you might want to think about facing your fears of social interaction.

Isn't there a game called 'The Sim's' that did all this love, marriage and baby crap before? Still, considering most video games are composed of blood, gore, carnage and more carnage, it would be nice to have one that simulated real life a bit more.. Who know, maybe kids who play this one will not want to go out and kill their classmates or commit other heinous crimes.. That would be nice..
