Sweet Verdict on Scooter, But Cheney Won't Resign »

Posted by: Spadecaller 2 years, 8 months ago

Cheney's fingerprints were all over Libby's crimes. He can hide no longer. But he won't resign because he's a power monger and an ideologue. The Libby verdict should give new impetus to the movement to impeach the Vice President. As one of my favorite bumperstickers puts it, Impeach Cheney First.

"There's Mary Matalin, she who cheerleaded for Clinton's impeachment, saying "This is sickening," and even more laughably, "The system is broken."

"There's John Bolton, leader of the neocon pact, saying, "This is just not the way justice should be followed."

"Oh no? You should be allowed to lie to the FBI under our system, and get away with it?"

This crime only led to war not a Clinton BJ.

Clinton got a BJ and lied in a deposition. He did not lie to the FBI. Bush and Cheney got a war and lied about WMD and an Al Qaeda connection that led us into a war where more than 3100 of our people have died. Clinton ruined a dress. Do give me a break.

The large cloud over Cheney grows even darker. Aniokly is whistling in the dark denying reality as usual. Rumsfeld, Delay, Gingrich, Abramhoff,Foley,Taggert, Libby... The junk yard of trashed neocons waits for the next crash. Who's next? Bush, Cheney, Rove, Gonzales ... the field of accidents waiting to happen is loaded with protential. Who's next?

If she won't do it on her own, we will find a way to make a deal that she can't refuse!

The gang that is hiding behind her skirt is the one that should be worried right now!

Anti-war movement is gathering steam. It will be interesting to see it roll over the NeoCons and their sympathizers, and also those hide-behind-Nancy's-skirts democrats!

Do you conservatives on this thread share in the ludicrous earnings of your Idol Dickie Cheney. If not, should you not request a share of the pie from him. You apparently condone his acquired wealth through fraudulent government contracts. Now if you condone this, isn't it fair that you receive benefits also?

I'm glad I have others to idolize. I'm also sure you condone Newts latest escapades. I live to see what is the next Republican conservative blunder when it comes to morality. They never cease to fail me, one scandal after another. Again, true idols to worship and adore. Good luck until the next episode.

Our politicians are being the role models of corruption. They are the tax payers employees who take advantage of our money to go on secret trips (like Cheney going into afghanistan without an explanation)show up at the office once a week, hire inexperienced assistants to lie for them, etc...

How about we cease the vote. We are better off without politicians spending trilions to benefit their urges.

Cheney/Bush did everything they could even to the point to protect their buddy, the chief of all evils, Osama Bin Laden!

And the game continues, because the Democrats are just looking the other way and not pressing charges against the 2 all mighty terrorists who are turning the most powerful country into misery.

Spadecaller - Now I do not like Cheney any more than most but ever time an article appears, that photo of him appears. Can you add a smiley face next time?

Probably though, no photo exist of him smiling or grinning.

Not so.If you look at the film of him sitting behind bush the lesser at their first press conference after the last election,he was almost laughing. This of course was due to his protege mouthing about energy independance, moral highgrounds, and governmental competance. All of qwhich they consider to be a joke.

The premise of the article is 100% wrong. THERE WAS NO CRIME. The "leaker" was Richard Armitage; he committed no crime. The Special Persecutor KNEW THAT IN ADVANCE, yet he plunged ahead anyway, "investigating" a non-crime. LIBBY SHOULD NEVER HAVE BEEN QUESTIONED.

Did they break the law ? Did they lie about breaking the law ? Were they following orders ? Whose orders?

Sounds as if someone should look into it a bit further.

its not a farce..its scary..and something you on the left should be really concerned about--its the ability of the american court system to criminalize a political viewpoint--agree or disagree with the outcome.. thats what this trial was about..and the next rogue federal prosecutor could be coming down your way..its a bad precedent thats been building since nixon..these judges arent elected and cant be removed--which is the real plan from the hard left move-on crowd..and they are using you useful idiots on the left to get there--but you will be the first to go in the purge...your friends..hillary reid pelosi..they're the ones with"rehabilitation" camps in mind..read some history..stalin did the same thing..

I don't like Cheney but like OJ got away with murder so will Cheney get away with everything he has done! Didn't he shoot somebody? Isn't that attempted murder? I know if I pointed a gun at someone, pulled the trigger and the bullet or shot entered that persons body - I would be in for a world of hurt! I just don't have any faith in justice in this country. Too many guilty people go unpunished and far too many inoccents get the death penalty!

This whole thing started because Wilson lied on the front page of the NYtimes about his trip to Niger:

                                                http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A398

And he continued to lie after that.

Cheney's office had every right to defend against Wilson's partisan lies.

Fitzgerald knew from the beginning who the original leaker was(Dick Armitage)and concluded no crime was committed by him.

His reasoning for continuing a "leak" investigation when the "leak" was not a crime is seen by many as politically driven.

I find it very suspicious that none of the other witnesses were prosecuted for their changing memories or lies.

                                                There were plenty of those.
