March 16, 2007, 9:03 a.m.Does anyone out there really care? What about the thousands of children here in the USA that are begging to be adopted.....these celebrities are way into themselves and need to step back and look at the problems in their own country. If they have the "wealth" to spread overseas, maybe they could cut lose for their own country.

March 16, 2007, 10:30 a.m.I APPRECIATE THAT ANGELINA IS ABLE TO ADOPT CHILDREN NO MATTER WHERE THERE FROM.I AM 47 AND HAVE NEVER BEEN ABLE TO HAVE CHILDREN AND NOT HAVING ENOUGH MONEY(I HAVE ALL THE LOVE FOR A CHILD THAT MY HEART COULD BURST)I GUESS THAT DOESN'T MATTER.BUT I WOULD NEVER HURT,TORTURE OR EVER LET THEM GO WITHOUT ANYTHING AS SOME PEOPLE WOULD DO(AND THEY CALL THERE SELVES CARING PARENTS).SO GOD BLESS ANGELINA AND BRAD AND KNOW IF I HAD THE ABILITY TO DO SO I WOULD TOO.SO MAY THEY ENJOY THERE GROWING FAMILY AND HAVE THE BEST MEMORIES AND THE BEST OF WHAT LIFE HAS TO OFFER THEM.GOD BLESS YOU ALL.LAURA CONN

March 16, 2007, 11:14 a.m.I hope this child will adjust well in his new environment. Any child that is adopted no matter where it is from is a good thing.

March 16, 2007, 12:11 p.m.I admire this womans philanthropy, but she can't adopt a baby from every nation in the world, she isn't capable of giving the care and attention these types of children need. Of course she can give all the material things in the world, and a lot of people focus on that, but these are special needs babies, needful of lots of one on one attention. I would rather see her donate money to the orphanages to insure there is plenty of employees to see not only to one of the children, but to all of them! Saving one is great, but it would be even greater to help and save them all!!

March 16, 2007, 12:34 p.m.Whoa there Alfalfa. Last time I checked Mia had nothing to do with Woody's immoral gestures towards his "child". That really was and still is a disgusting turn of events, and still, he's looked up to. Quite frankly, Woody's work is boring.
So leave Mia out of it. All she's guilty of is raising the ungrateful little tramp.

March 16, 2007, 1:14 p.m.The MAJORITY of kids available for adoption in the US have health and/or psychological problems, where as in other parts of the world, kids are abandoned because the parents just cant afford to take care of them. Im sure thats why she chooses to adopt out of the country!

March 16, 2007, 3:19 p.m.Would be nice is she adopted a needy child from the US, there are plenty. She does wonderful things for children with her fame and fortune though and deserves alot of credit!

March 16, 2007, 5:42 p.m.Who really cares? Another hollywood liberal who can't look beyond generating more publicity for herself. Why not adpot a American child from the Ozarks or Appalachia? Why not put money into programs that seve poor children here in the U.S.?
-

March 16, 2007, 5:48 p.m.why do you automatically assue she is a liberal? She probably saw this boy and one child at a time touch lives while she is on this plant.
Brad couldnt be on the adoption papers because Vietnam does not allow unmarried people to adopt together.
And yes, there are plenty of children here in America who needs homes...more Black and Latino boys than any...but I guess she figures these American children will have a better chance just because they are in America than some oversees child in a not as developed country?

March 16, 2007, 5:58 p.m.I bet you this whole Jolie-Pitt adoption thing is at best a migrant worker scheme. Based on a ploy the boost their fame!

March 16, 2007, 6:09 p.m.I must agree with some of the comments i have read on here. There are millions of children right here in the US that are in foster care who need homes, why travel all over the world to adopt?

March 16, 2007, 6:34 p.m.Well think about it... How many American children adoptions get national news coverage?

March 16, 2007, 8:02 p.m.I can't but help wonder what colour child will be the next flavour of the month? They seem to be collecting one of each so far! What have we got now before I lose track... A black one, a white one and now a yellow one! What's next... Red or blue one perhaps, yes blue, blue as a baboons ass.... Moreover, anybody not think it odd she's adopting a child so soon after giving birth to her own child? Is there anything wrong with their own? Why not have time to bond and cherish their baby instead of whatever it is they're doing? Or is it that Madam Jolie-Pitt is just a little messed-up or plain psychologically Sc***ed! Maybe after just one pregnancy she's decided that she's too posh to push..... What do you think?

March 17, 2007, 7:51 a.m.While appreciating her kindness towards orphan children; the media propaganda is trying to convince people that how kind the American people are, at the same time they fail to highlight their country's atrocities around the world, making millions of children homeless and orphans and America killed nearly a million children in Iraq alone, if Angelina Jolie wants to adopt children God will bless her, but this is nothing but propaganda. I know there are people who are running orphanages looking after orphans; they dedicate their entire life to this kind of work, nobody talks about it, this is just nothing compare to that. This another Rambo and Tazan movie propaganda.

March 17, 2007, 8:32 a.m.This just in: On his first night with his new mother, the little three year old Vietnamese boy was seen kneeling at his bed praying before he went to sleep
"Dear God, thank you for answering my prayers that I would be given a chance and to have a loving person want me and to cradle me in her bosom. AND WHAT A BOSOM,WHO SAYS PRAYERS DON'T GET ANSWERED!!"

April 6, 2007, 8:35 p.m.I don't know from anywhere else, but to get a baby girl from China is a HUGE battle of $$ and red tape... lasting years... JUST going back and forth to be "interviewed" is $10 G easy. then if the chinese officals drag their feet.. the adoption gets cancelled if the total age of the parents are 100 or older, meanwhile, they are overflowing with little girls who will die before getting a home. Plenty of babies in our own country who need and deserve homes. Must be nice to go shopping for a baby much the way you shop for Prada purses and Jimmy Choo shoes.
