US automobile companies to save money quit making individual vehicles with their own character. We have for many years now had interchangeable vehicles. There are very few vehicles that are unique except for some of Chryslers vehicles. Why have a Sable and Taurus when they are identical in chassis, body shell, and engine?

If Chrysler were to be absorbed, it could mean the end of all the US automakers.
