Crude Oil Rises a Third Day on Higher U.S. Gasoline Demand »

Oil rose for a third day in New York on signs of increasing demand from U.S. refineries, which need to make more gasoline ahead of the summer driving season.

    ``Decreasing inventories of petrol before the driving season starts will keep upward pressure on prices for the next week,'' said Thina Saltvedt, an analyst at Nordea Bank AB in Oslo. ``Tightening fundamentals and increasing geopolitical risk will keep the price close to $60 a barrel.''

        You know... I heard that we can actually make 1 ton of crude oil from 2 tons of coal. I'll try to find a link...

          Yeah, as far as fuel alternatives go, if the Oil companies don't want it to happen, it pretty much won't happen.
