March 25, 2007, 1:20 p.m.I've had a sticky note on my desk for this program for a couple of weeks, but hadn't seen the trailer which is provided in the link. I'm looking forward to what appears to be some awesome footage.
Thanks.

March 25, 2007, 11 p.m.Ok, WOW, I have NEVER seen such a wonderful and magnificent nature documentary......it has Emmy Awards all over it!! And this was just 3 parts of 11 total!!
This was the first time they had used such advanced equipment and it has really paid off by presenting such enhanced images!! The Satellite imagery, time lapse, close up, HDV, (not to mention the surround sound), all offer a different view and perspective so it was filmed in a new innovative style.
We saw things tonight never seen on film or by scientists ever, aren't we lucky!
Our planet Earth is truly the most magnificent machine ever created, every living thing, every environment is all part of the greater picture and has their role in the earths survival. There is a domino effect when we alter the course of this machine, just like a fine tuned engine, it's works get gummed up and the timing is off.
I have a whole new appreciation of male Emperor Penguins!

I just wish the wankers in the programming office could put it in a time slot that my younger kids could watch.

March 26, 2007, 10:24 a.m.Yes it would have been nice to have it on earlier!
wow, how utterly amazing tho. I did have to turn the channel a few brief times when the predators would catch their prey. I don't mind the hunt or the feeding, I just can't bare to watch the catch. Yes especially the wolves, even tho I love those animals, appreciate the packs hunting skills..at the moment of the catch...I can't watch.

March 26, 2007, 11:14 a.m.I haven't had a chance to watch it yet, but plan on it.
Question though, if one does NOT have an HDTV in their apartment (like me) will the quality of the picture still be as good as people here are claiming?
I feel like I might be missing out without an HDTV, but unfortunately being a po' grad student I just don't have a couple of thousand bucks lying around to one.

March 26, 2007, 12:17 p.m.This was a truely amazing show. There is so much stupid crap on tv, I am glad that this program shows that great quality shows can be made, and that people will watch it! I can't wait to see the rest of the series. I hope they win lots of awards for this, they earned them.
