March 26, 2007, 6:25 p.m.california logic for you, have the less polluting vehicles spend LESS time on the road, being able to use the "carpool" lane even when there is only one occupant, and the more polluting vehicles sit in traffic , polluting all the more....real logical

March 27, 2007, 10:06 a.m.Prius's are a feel good fad. When they hit the used car market they won't be worth squat and people will quit buying new ones.
I called a Toyota dealership and I found out that it will cost about $5000 to replace the inverter and batteries on a Prius. Often people make used car buying decisions based on whether or not the car needs a $400 set of new tires. How about $5k just so the car works?

March 27, 2007, 10:10 a.m.Those stickers are super ugly BTW. They allow you to use the carpool lane, but look like garbage. Yeah, I want big orange stickers all over my car, thanks DMV.
