What a wonderful photo-op and public relations boost it would be for the war effort if John McCain, Pat Buchanan, Sean Hannity, Ann Coulter, Rush Limbaugh, Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld had an open block party in that Iraqi neighborhood!! Of course, it would have to be in the 2 hour slot when electricity and water are available and whenever the army could free up a couple of battalions to surround the neighborhood. The POTUS may need more than just a dozen Secret Service agents.

Then they could take lots of pictures and drop thousands of copies over the thousands of neighborhoods where the party COULDN'T be held just to show those stupid Iraqis what they could be enjoying if they only behaved like nice little boys and girls. We could introduce them to the joys of pizza, ice cream, and barbecued ribs. MMM, HMMM!!

This move would be much more effective and morale-boosting than those silly, little, surprise, unannounced visits to our troops.

I'm so glad that it is safe...Maybe Bush and Co. will plan their next vacation there...McCain is leaning on this one.

Yeah right, the Green Zone or maybe one of our "temporary" mega bases where he can take a stroll down to the local Pizza Hut. Do any of these politicians spend any time reading about the unpredictable chaos in that country? On a good day only 30 people might get dismembered by a random car bombing as they line up for food or jobs (or, to take a walk). And, John, (and Cat) the fight 'em there or fight 'em here rhetoric is getting mighty old. I thought the only person left on the planet to believe that nonsense was that disengaged moron in the White House.
