March 30, 2007, 12:52 p.m.Thank heavens. Anyone who believes that Israeli concessions are a requirement for peace is either a Jew-hater or a moron. If someone wants peace, then they want peace and they'll work towards that. Peace isn't something you can buy. The Arabs "feel" they've been "wronged" by Israel. I strongly disagree but that's neither here nor there. If they want peace, they can have it. The truth is, they don't. They want the Jews to be dead. That's all they want. Anyone who supports them wants it as well.

March 30, 2007, 8:28 p.m.Once again, the arabs want it their way, or no way. They can't beat Israel on the battlefield, so they are trying to force Israel to make concessions that will alter Israel's ability to remain a Jewish State. They insist on a Palestinian state as well as Palestinians moving into Israel itself. They can't have it both ways. If the Palestinians get a new state, they have a place of their own to live. The term refugee will no longer exist for any Palestinian. They will have a land and government of their own with a Palestinian identity. That should be far more appealing to most Palestinians than moving into a country where they would be under Israel's thumb. If the Palestinians are treated so poorly by the Israelis, why would they insist on moving back into Israel, when they can live happily in a state of their own? Who in their right mind would want that?

March 30, 2007, 10:15 p.m.The plan, endorsed at the Arab League summit on Wednesday, offers Israel full diplomatic relations if it withdraws from all land occupied in 1967, allows the creation of a Palestinian state and the return of Palestinian refugees.
Arab states called on "the government of Israel and all Israelis to accept the Arab peace initiative and seize the opportunity to resume the process of direct and serious negotiations on all tracks."
So how can this be 'bad'? Israel wants the Palestinians to all be dead, ditto all their neighbors. Israel will never be 'happy' and will never be 'peaceful' until they learn to not treat their neighbors (and every gentile out there) like they are beneath them.

March 31, 2007, 11:58 a.m.Only ignorant people believe that. South Africa is in serious trouble. While I have never been a proponent of apartheid, the white government was able to create and maintain a robust economy, worldwide trade, a viable military and a pro western democracy. Rhodesia, Zambia also had all of these things. Look what has happened to these countries since. When the Palestinians lived under Egypt and Jordan, they were the poorest areas in the middle east. Israel brought electricity, sewage, clean running water and a viable economy into the West Bank and the Gaza. Palestine will be a cess pool once Israel leaves. They will get absolutely no help from their arab oil rich neighbors and they don't have the ability to build the infrastructure that is needed to supply the electricity, water and sewage. There will be no viable economy, and poverty will be rampant. Why don't you go to Jerusalem and talk to the Arab shop keepers in the Old City. They want no part of a Palestinian state.

March 31, 2007, 5:29 p.m.Maybe that's why the Israeli army occupied southern Lebanon for over a month while the UN peace keepers were being deployed, and the Hezbollah leaders are still all in hiding. Yeah, real winners!!!!!
