Here's a great resource. http://www.kidswealth.com. My kids have been using these wallets, and this approach since Christmas and it's working really well. The toughest thing was to explain to them that they can never spend the money in their wealth wallet. :-)

Dave Ramsey has some excellent books about teaching kids (young to teeens) how to manage and save money. He also has online games about money for them to play.
