Posted by: annadurfee 2 years, 8 months ago

There are hundreds of characters on The Simpsons. Granted, we don't see every character every episode and some have even died throughout the years. Through 18 seasons we've seen quite a lot of weird things and some characters seem to be more special to us than others. Go ahead, wipe that tear from your eye.

    It's all about Homer!

Homer: "I won't lie to you, fatherhood isn't easy like motherhood."

Don't forget Hans Moleman....and Kent Brockman....and Phil Hartmans great characters, Troy McClure and Lionel Hutz (both retired out of respect for the deceased)...most of all though, I miss Conan O'Brien's writing team. Although oddly I don't find his talk show particularly funny, his writing on the Simpson's was wonderful stuff..

I know. I love all those characters too, but I had to stop somewhere. I will mention in the results some honorable mentions or something.

              No Groundskeeper Willie??? WTF???

"There's nary an animal alive that can outrun a greased Scotsman!"

And how about special guest star Barry White (RIP), who drove the snakes out of Springfield w/ his song "Can't get enough of your love"?

God I miss Phil Hartman on that show. Lionel Hutz and Troy McClure were probably my two absolute favourites. Troy marrying Selma is stilll hilarious, and my favourite Lionel Hutz episode? Probably the bum that created Itchy & Scratchy, with his business cards... "No, money down!"

I also can't believe that Lenny and Carl are two seperate entries... it's like one word... Lennyandcarl.

They should have made Itchy and Scratchy into its own show...

Easy choice, I vote for "The connection has timed out

The server at polls.blogflux.com is taking too long to respond"

Such an easy choice, since that's the only one offered. Every character is in that category.

I'd love to see a series made of Grandpa Simpson from his young adulthood to homers birth.

It is amazing how long the show has been on. It is pure genius to create sitcoms around animated characters that never age. These shows just last forever. Southpark owes its roots to simpsons. They even had an episode with bart in it.

What about Ol' Gill? Doesn't Gil get a lick of that shiny gold ring?

And Millhouse's dad- "Repo man, I'm here to take your trousers" "Please not in front of my son" "My god! you're a father?!!"

The Simpsons is wonderful satire, I love it.
