April 6, 2007, 4:42 p.m.Oh really! Can they find nothing better to get their knickers in a knot about? Last I heard, Pelosi reinforced the Bush talking points while in Syria. And clap trap about her wearing a head scarf? Lordy, lordy. If that's all the Neo-Cons have, their pockets are pretty empty. They should be applauding her, not denigrating her. And how foolish does it make them look to insult her visit while endorsing the visits of others from their own cabal in Congress. Do they know how to spell "hypocrit?"

April 6, 2007, 5:08 p.m.Jovial,
This is a good find!
The points made by the writer are accurate, incisive and very much on the mark.
The Bush administration has failed miserably in its conduct of foreign policy, as it has in everything it has touched.
Now Nancy Pelosi is trying to follow the path shown by the Iraq Study Group to see if peace can be achieved by talks with our adversaries. And the NeoCons are getting outright nasty, because she is trying to accomplish something that they have failed miserably at.
Our country is never going to forgive these incompetent buffoons who have heaped so much misery on our country that it will take decade to straighten out, if at all!
These dominoes will start falling right after Gonzo's overdue exit!

April 6, 2007, 7:32 p.m.Right ... and the flap about the scarf is SO bogus that it boggles the mind ...
Here some pictures of Condoleeza Rice and Laura Bush wearing scarfs when they have visited the middle east.

I guess that means that Condi and Laura are also 'subservient' and 'yielding to misogynistic cultures' ...

April 6, 2007, 8:43 p.m.At least the scarf hides the scalp scars from the multiple face lifts.
Her plastic surgeon must be from Canada.

April 6, 2007, 11:08 p.m.Since most of you continue to IGNORE the REAL facts, let me help you out --
At least FOUR Republicans went to Syria at the SAME time and met with the president and his staff.
WHERE is the CRITICIZM and denunciation of THEIR trip and what they 'said' and 'did'?

Pelosi did NOT tell Syria that Israel's position changed regarding peace talks. Pelosi DID meet with State Department officials before her meetings with the foreign leaders and that State Department officials also attended her meetings.

What the Bush admin is REALLY ticked off about is that someone actually talked to Syria - you know "diplomacy", the tact that Bush and Cheney have TOTALLY abandoned.

April 6, 2007, 11:10 p.m.Oh, by the way ... Bush says that he doesn't talk to countries that are a part of the "axis of evil".
Apparently he FORGOT that his administration HAS talked to Syria - a LOT - because of all of the so-called terrorist 'suspects' that have been sent to Syria, via RENDITION, to be TORTURED, like Maher Arar, the Canadian that was sent to Syria by the U.S. to be tortured.

April 7, 2007, 9:44 a.m.Well gee, let's just continue to rattle our sabers and not talk to our enemies and undermine their customs, that's been working soooo well for the last six years! We've made soooo much progress!
I'm so sick of this partisan fighting. Let's come together and find real solutions to this problem. It is going to take a mix of military and diplomatic effort. It's time to move forward and stop spinning our wheels arguing along the same partisan lines.

April 9, 2007, 5:53 p.m.We need a special prosecutor... the dude that got scooter could have a field day with the botox queen. Her only defense to breaking the Logan act would be she lied to the media when she claimed she was taking messages back and forth between countries.
