Many of those white stacked up cruise ships don't even look sea-worthy.

Precisely how is Bush responsible? I suppose you blame him too whenever a cow passes gas thereby contributing to Global Warming thru excess methane gas emissions!

I'm pretty sure that key was being sarcastic since George W. is blamed for everything. Five years though, I'd like to think that a manslaughter charge would carry more than that.

The captain and other members of the crew are accountable in Greece.

Not here. Our commander is not held to the same standards.

As a matter of fact, I was being sarcastic.

Five years does not seem like much, considering

the seriousness of the whole thing.

I think that global warming is an issue that

needs to be addressed but Al Gore is nothing

more than a self-serving hot air bag.

Don't know what the weather has to do with the article but you're only looking at your little world and not the whole picture. In Anchorage Alaska it's 42 degrees and they are much farther north but it would be warmer if it wasn't for all those glaciers cooling everything down. LOL

It sort of sounds to me like "somebody" was to blame, and the closest warm bodies were picked.

                        why is anyone to blame?

i know it says that the reef was clearly marked on the map, but still....i dont think that the captain MEANT to sink this enormous boat. thats the problem with america, you all just love to point fingers.

I was privileged to be a passenger on the Sea Diamond last May. She took me from one beautiful island to another, and I am so sad and sorry to see that she has gone under! However, maybe the people on the Lost Continent of Atlantis will now have a chance to see something from our present day civilization above them!

I was lucky enough to be on the Sea Diamond last May. She very ably took me and my group from one beautiful island to another. I was so sad and dismayed to see first on AOL that she was in trouble, then went under. However, now maybe the people of the Lost Continent of Atlantis will have information about our present day world above them!

During the evacutation Cheney was observed with a grin, smirk, smile or whatever, he said the cause was terrorist among the crew. Further he added that if we did not bomb the ship terrorist would consequently migrate to America.

So pay heed or we will all be killed.

He has numerous years of experience in the military through the cadet correspondence course of America. So believe all that he says, its only correct.

This captain has provided a valuable service. NOW - it seems less stupid to do those inconvenient mandatory lifeboat drills every time you get on a cruise ship. Apparently you just never know when the captain and/or navigator are going to be drunk. (Remember the Valdiz?)
