This kind of thing is one of the reasons my husband believes that churches tax exempt status should be revoked and they should have to owe back taxes...

Hey, the wonderful Bishop Creepy Donald Wurle closed down a bunch of churches in Pgh and stole the money from the coffers to pay for laywers to defend pedophile priests.

Abstinence makes the Church Grow Fondlers. Laugh if you want, but it's really the truth.

This shows how evil the church really is. Trying to cover up for pedophiles. First you base a religion on something that is completely false. Then you create a world of unopeminded, disfunctional people that have no idea what reality is. Then you breed pedophiles by telling your clergy that you must be celibate. It's amazing to me that people cannot see how destructive religion is.

Thats the reason the church is such an advocate for illegal immigration, lost patrongage from many and new blood and money from the illegals, its always the money. Money rules.

So all churches do whatever to increase assest while they live richly and have no wants or needs. Might add so unlike Jesus who they represent. Jesus was a carpenter yet I never heard of him building edificies.

              Pay off the perverts.

              Punish the parishoners.

The Fundamentalists (Christians, Muslims) openly want to return to the Dark Ages.

Why not the Catholics? They invented them.

They allowed / condoned pedofilia and other perverted abuses.

(hell, their system is designed for it!)

They covered up all they could over many decades.

The whole dirty institution should be abolished, they should definitely not have tax exempt status, and they should never be allowed to hide assets.

Time to put a stop to this ungodly institution.

Yes. Tax all the religious places and religions. No exceptions. The government can use the money for all the useless things they need.

And we thought companies like Enron were bad? Yup, dump all the churches and religions... then maybe people will see themselves for what they really are; people.

I am so glad that this diocese is not so concerned about material wealth and only about the welfare of their parishioners. What a shining example of God's love.

That's nice . Dump the Churches . Hey , can we revive Lenin or Stalin ? The money thing is the politics of the Church. Remember JESUS and the money changers story ? The role of the Church is to evangelize . And not all Churces are Catholic { Thank goodness } .

At the moment every man woman and child is being forced to support churches. On the most basic level your local police and fire department have to respond to any calls to the church yet the churches pay nothing. NO taxes not even property taxes. So even the most hard core atheist is being forced to support these damned things...

Somehow the seperation of church and state seems to mean seperation of fiscal responsibility but in only one direction.

If God wanted a new church in every neighbor hood let the son of a b!tch build it and take care of it himself...

Hmmm.... I don't see any churches popping up, I guess he doesn't exist or if he does he doesn't want any churches.
