Who cares... I mean outside his family. He is just a state official. I'm watching fox news and you'ld have thought the president was killed, lots of coverage for someone that means absolutely nothing to people out west. What a waste of air time.

It was reported on the FOX station that the governor was not wearing a seatbelt. Now go figure. Regular people by law are required to wear seatbelts but government officals are not??? He should pay out of his own pocket the medical expenses and get a ticket for not using a seatbelt.

I do feel sorry for Mr Corzine but his injuries would not have been so bad had he had on his seatbelt. That is according to statistics. That is why they keep on reminding us to click it or ticket.

Well, in a way you could say this is a result of the hysteria over Don Imus's two word Capitol Offense. All the Big Shots and Pols got their face time on T.V. Even the coach. I'm tellin' ya Man, we're gonna see Jesse's and Al's faces on our coinage. Two more National Holidays won't be bad either.

Here's a perfect example of why you should wear your seat belts. I'm sure the Governor at this moment would agree to do those PSAs.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

P.S. I'm sure there are conservatives out there who don't always wear their seat belts.

Just for the record, the state police are investigating the possibility that Gov. Corzine wasn't wearing his seat belt even though he was a front seat passenger. New Jersey, as does most of our states has a mandatory seat belt law and I for one have been stopped at check points in NJ on several occasions to make sure that I am buckled up. If this turns out to be true, it won't look good for the Governor. We all wish him a speedy recovery, but if it is shown that he was not wearing his seat belt, the severity of his injuries are partly his own fault. In any case, the news is playing this up big time.

What is wrong with you people? I started to say a few of you were making me feel embarrassed to be a conservative, and the rest of you are probably making ryan601 feel the same way about being a democrat, and Ryan, if you're not sorry, in all the bs I see in this thread I may have lost track, not that it really matters here, since it appears you are The only one from either side of the aisle with any sense at all. But the more I thought about it, with the exception of ryan601, all of you are making me feel very, very, embarrassed to be an American if this is how we appear to the rest of the world now. But I do get one thing, if this is how you all act most of the time, you can stop blaming Bush, or anyone else for how the rest of the world views Americans right now. If you want to see who the real problem is, get a mirror!!!

I dont wish the governer any ill will and hopes he makes a speedy full recovery. But I also hope he gets ticketed for not wearing his seat belt. If it were me or any other everyday individual, we would get ticketed. I am sick of the politicians do as I say not as I do mentality. They have to follow the law just as I do. I was ticketed in new jersey (going to wildwood on vacation with family) when we were pulled over by a N.J. state TROOPER and were issued tickets for not wearing seat belts. My insurance company I found out will not cover me in an accident if I am not wearing a seat belt. Gov corzine is a multimillion air, his insurance (the taxpayers) should not cover his medical expences since he was not wearing a seat belt.

NO SEATBELT! In the state leading the charge regarding seatbelt compliance and issuing tickets accordingly! I do wish the Governor well, but this is NOT the example he should be sending to young drivers in NJ (or is it - depends on your view - "See, kids, this is what happens when you don't buckle up!, etc.)

Where was all the sympathy for Vice-President Chaney and his hunting buddy when he accidentally shot him? Democrats were calling for an investigation because he did not report the accident as soon as it happened. They accused him of covering up the incident. The dems were calling for him to step down when he was involved in this tragic incident. Now we have Gov Corzine, driven in an SUV by a state trooper, clearly not wearing a seat belt right next to an officer of the law. I think an investigation should be conducted on the State Trooper, and the Governor. I think the governor should pay for all of his medical expenses and not the state of New Jersey. Why was the governor on his way to a meeting between Rutgers U. basketball team and Imus anyway? I don't think this meeting was even necessary for the governor to attend. This seemed to be a private issue between Rutgers U. and Imus, not the governor. There are a lot of unanswered questions here. We needs to investigate
