Posted by: Fabienne 2 years, 7 months agoFrom the article: "One in three women is still single by the time she is 35, according to a new survey. Now, a revolutionary new test claims to be able to reveal how fast a woman's biological clock is ticking, and whether she should start trying for a baby immediately. The Mail asked three single 35-year-old women to take the test - with fascinating results."

April 12, 2007, 9:39 a.m.Life is funny. Women who don't want to get pregnant (like myself) end up getting preggo, and women who want to be have a hard time.

April 12, 2007, 12:37 p.m.It's sorta sad to read that women will lower their standards - and you know what I mean by that - to find a guy before their chance of having a baby is gone. But then again I guess that is what we humans do. That search to find the perfect 'mate' for procreation.
Glad I missed out on that desperate race with my 'biological clock'.

April 12, 2007, 1:41 p.m.How selfish are we? 6 billion people already in existence, many living at levels most Americans would refuse to accept, wildlife populations being decimated at a rate only seen previously at extinction events, limited resources being squeezed and used up, and women are worried about creating people who don't exist to merely satisfy their urge to breed.
This indicates just how much a biological machine humans actually are. We should be promoting NOT procreating and applying resources to meeting the most basic needs of people who already exist and are living at lowest levels and providing space for wildlife and not utilizing them to satisfy our desires. We do NOT need more people, we need fewer.

April 12, 2007, 4:01 p.m.I agree with jeffrey1. The oceans are being overfished. Global warming threatens our ability to exist. As resources shrink the world may end up a much more scary, dangerous place...not to be a pessimist or anything ;-)
I think it's pathetic that these women are so desperate and it would definitely be a turn off to have that pressure going into a relationship. Get a dog!

April 12, 2007, 4:48 p.m.I guess I just can't let an article like this go without bringing up the "A" word.
While many women struggle to get pregnant, around 3,000 a day chose to slaughter that precious bundle in the womb. That's over 100 every hour. 40-50 MILLION since 1973.
My wife and I struggled with infertility. Both of my kids are adopted. The deep love I feel for those 2 have nothing to do with the womb in which they were conceived.
Every day I think about 2 single Moms who chose not to abort and chose to give my kids life. Two scared teenagers who were just a little careless for a few moments and decided to do the right thing.
Thank you, single Moms. Thank you for chosing not to abort.
And those of you who have problems getting pregnant, hang in there. You are not alone . And if you do adopt, you will love those kids just as much as any that came out of your womb.

April 12, 2007, 5:48 p.m.Nobody think it's the women's fault for setting the bar 'so high' on finding their "Mr Right?"
If they analysed their list of what makes their 'knight in shining armour,' realistically no one's probably going to be good enough - hence 35 & still single.
So firstly they need to be realistic in their assessments of a potential mate. Keep themselves healthy and fit, eat the right foods and stay off birth control pills which throw their bodies out of whack to give themselves the best possible chance of pregnancy at the right time....
If they think there's any chance of medical problems in conceiving, don't wait so long before getting checked out medically. Nothing worse than one mate pointing the finger at the other saying: "It's your fault we can't have a baby!"
Then all things being equal, leave the rest to God.... Children are a blessing not a right!

April 13, 2007, 1:24 a.m.I think the issue at hand is that now more so then ever women are establishing themselves with careers, not like it used to be.. Also alot of women are willing to sacrafice a relationship to further excel in their careers.. Which makes sense, I mean whatever makes you happy.. But then we have the woman who live in FANTASY LAND and still believe in the notion that Mr. Prince Charming whos rich and famous will sweep them off there feet.. This is the reason why there are women over 35 and single!!!! Or they have let the good ones go because of selfish behavior and find themselves looking back and wondering what happen.. Sorry ladies no sympathy here...
