GOP Candidate Defends Imus, Slams Jackson and Sharpton »

Republican Presidential candidate Mike Huckabee defended embattled radio talk-show host Don Imus during a radio interview Friday, saying that if Imus deserves to be fired, several other talk-show hosts do as well.

    "I think if Imus is going to get fired, then there are a number of other people who need to go out the door," the former Arkansas governor told Radio Iowa in Des Moines. "Rosie's probably got to go. Bill Maher has to go. Gosh, half of talk radio and television has to go."

      Isn't interesting who has come out to defend Imus. Certain commenters here at Netscape keep saying he's "not conservative," but the majority of those publicly defending him are Neo-con.

      If supposedly not his politics, is it his charming hate-speak they love so?

      The ultra-con strategy of once again bashing Sharpton and Jackson has been an utter failure, except among their own bloggers, who repeat the names in anger like a mantra, occasionally adding in Sandy Berger for spice.

      Is shock-jockery doomed? Will people have to start showing respect for each other in the mainstream media?

      YES!
