The proposal would establish a cabinet level position with broad new powers including advising on non-confrontational foreign policy options, establishing and enforcing new gun control measures, designing school curriculum, and establishing a "Peace Academy"

If we spent half as much on Peace, we would get a far greater return. Frankly, I am embarrassed to say I am an American when I travel. People instantly give me a cold shoulder when they hear it. So, I have my handy Canada t-shirt.

Hear they're going to have a Department of Stern Warnings and Hurt Feelings. It will be working closely with the UN.

Gun control is anti-American and unconstitutional. Besides, without guns there can be no peace. Kennesaw Ga. has one of the lowest crime rates in the U.S. because they have a law stating you must own a gun to live here. Not only is everybody armed, but felons cannot legally live here. Although libs consider the crime rate to be a coincidence.

How can anyone read this and think that it is serious? And if they do think it's serious, how could they possibly think it's a good idea?
It smacks of utopian mind control -- Wasn't there a Ministry of Peace in 1984 (which the dems accuse the current administration of bringing to life)? Didn't get THEM too far did it?
And, totalitarianism is the ONLY way any of these suggestions could fly.
It's kind of the same reason why Walt Disney couldn't have real people live in EPCOT (which was SUPPOSED to be the Experimental Prototypical Community of Tomorrow). In order for these types of visions to have even a slight chance of success, almost all individual freedom must go by the wayside.

Here in Romania we don't have crime in school because we in past we are comunist and we don't have guns.We don't have war because we are in defence,this is our spirit.I hope that we retire soon from:Irak and Afganisthan.This is not our war and our Spirit.Good bless that liberals win and they will retire our army.We are not an agresive country,this is not our Spirit.We don't want this destiny.Peace in entire world without war.O.N.U. is for mainteining Peace not S.U.A.This is the motivation because european don't like americans,because they think that agresion is a solution and americans have too big Ego.

Guns and war is not signs of democracy.Peace,happines and prosperity for everyone,not just for leaders.If you don't have peace in your mind and hearth,you can't have Peace with others.So:Peace ,Peace,Peace and Love this is what we needs.
