April 14, 2007, 5:08 p.m.Bringing your mom to a job interview? Calling your son's boss to disagree with his job evaluation? I don't know which is more ridiculous (or immature).....
Now thats my definition of micromanagement! :-)

April 14, 2007, 8:06 p.m.I agree us Gen.X (age 25-42)are more independent and hate micromanagement. I like to do my job in the comfort of my own space with no over-the-shoulder hindrances.
Age 43-61 is made to sound as if they're so great because they invented the 60 hr work week. It's all about perspective! They are greedy and money-hungry boomers focused on the almighty dollar and materialism. Their ethics in business are questionable, and they judge too much.....and on top of it all, they made the Generation Y needy cry-babies, so please. Author of this article is biased because he most likely falls into this age group.

April 15, 2007, 6:33 a.m.Geez , I started my first business at 22 just so I didn't have to have a boss [ hello Public] .I started on an unemployeement check and built it up to $120,000 in five years [ deal a little less with the Public and hello employees ] . Then since I really wanted some freedom , I started another business to run along side the first [ hello Public again ] . Well anyway I'm away from it all now for a while but I really feel the need to be independent again [ back to the Public for a paycheck and more gratification ].
