The names, ages and professions of passengers listed on the Titanic's fateful journey have gone online for the first time, 95 years after the luxury ocean liner sank on its maiden voyage.

    For something this historic, I'd love to see them offer it for free forever, but alas, that doesn't seem to be true...

        Boo, what kind of people charge you to learn significant history? Knowledge like this ought to be free. Are they going to start charging people to look up the names of people who have died in Iraq?

              Evidently the author, Avril Ormsby, and Netscape stalwart jeremytoday believe that the list should have been on-line within a week of the ships tragic sinking.

              You can correct me on this if you like, but i don't think such a rapid posting would haver been effective.

              Anyway, it is on-line now, and all who live vicariously through the tragedy of others can have an orgasm over it.

                  This is awesome. Imagine the geneologists completing family histories through these lists.
