April 15, 2007, 10:02 p.m.I think we should all bring a rolled one. Lite up in unison....otherwise no one will know what we are up to.
Any one know what time would be best to show our support?

April 15, 2007, 10:49 p.m.Hi n2n, I am on for a little bit tonight, sort of a self impossed exile due to all the vile haters and spamers on the site.
Making me far to stressed and needed a time out.

April 16, 2007, 11:27 a.m.This may be the most creative approcah yet. If we do legalize maryjane, I say we abolish the DEA and use the money saved by law enforcment and courts to buy the uninsured's some heath insurance.
While we are cutting worthless agencies, let's add the following to the list:
IRS, NEA, PBS, NPR, TSA, Dept of "Education", OSHA, EPA, HHS ad infinitum.
I only have 1000 characters so I can't possibly list them all.

April 16, 2007, 12:37 p.m.Think of all the law officials that will be out of a job if they legalize marijuana. You think that is going to happen??? NOT. Also there would be less people in jails as well. Again lost of jobs there.
Don't confuse the government with facts. Their minds a made up already and it will be against the law.

April 16, 2007, 12:52 p.m.Almost time to set out my little planters with fresh top soil and seeds to soak up some sun and water. I'd much rather pay a usage tax and be given the opportunity to legally imbibe. It's good for my glaucoma and my arthritis.

citizens4pot
April 16, 2007, 2:55 p.m.If pot were legal this nation could save billions of dollars that are now wasted on arresting, convicting and jailing those who sell and use the substance. If it were sold in government run outlets the revenue could refill the empty coffers of social security. The money saved by releasing all imprisoned for pot offenses only and not arresting other users would be enough to fund the rebuilding of our nations crumbling infrastructure and free up beds in prisons for real criminals.

April 16, 2007, 5:48 p.m.Don't get your hopes up to high with all that money. The government will find things to spend it on and still more on top of that. This country is going to be bankrupted and they want it to be.

April 16, 2007, 6:09 p.m.I dont want to give those spineless a**holes a cent to smoke something that grows naturally outside. Why should they get paid for a plant? Isnt that equivalent to taxing people who have grass growing in their yards? That opens up a whole other door. I dont know if any of you have ever sen a marijuana tax stamp, but the prices are ridiculous. We are talking a $100 tax on an ounce of weed. Thats insane. We pay more right now but you can always offset the price if you know what you are doing. I dont want to be taxed, I want the government to acknowledge that they ruined millions of people lives based off of lies about a plant that is actually beneficial to humanity.
Im sure we could save millions by stopping those stupid ads with the dog raising the flag and the alien stealing our girlfreinds. Tell me wtf those commercials have to do with anything. I dont get how thats supposed to stop kids from smoking weed.
Puff puff pass people!

April 16, 2007, 6:47 p.m.Imported weed steals millions from our economy. The US Dept of Agriculture determined that if legal,it would cost a farmer about $4 per pound to grow. With the farmer charging $100 per pound and a tax of $100 per pound ,the cost to consumers would still be ten times less and would put black market dealers out of business instantly along with keeping the profits in our economy and saving billions on arrests, prosecution and incarceration.

April 16, 2007, 7:19 p.m.I really would like to see this nation take that step forward and legalize marijuana within the next few years. Of course it won't happen with G. Dubbs in office, but the next time we have a Democrat-controlled legislative and executive branch, it's a definite possibility.
