Chinese Zoo Rears Tigers Like Battery Hens »

Posted by: Aidenag 2 years, 8 months ago

Xiongsen is the world's biggest battery farm for rare animals, including 1,300 tigers. The stock is worth hundreds of millions of dollars in China. Until now there has been a ban on tiger products, but that could be about to change. After a decade of lobbying by Xiongsen, China is preparing to call for a lifting of the ban.

Here is the photo gallery that goes with the article.(Warning some of the pics are graphic, as this "Zoo" also releases live cattle into the tiger area's during "Feeding Time" which is the "Zoo's" most popular attraction)

Lordy, lordy. This is so unkind to the animals. If released to the wild, they might not survive. And their carcasses frozen in the hope that they can eventually sell them. Shameful. Thanks for posting this.

This is just the tip of how bad China is. If we really cared at all we would ALL boycott "Made In China", but that will never happen so they will just keep up the animal abuse. There are Bear zoos also that make it a sport for the people to watch the bears fight each other for food.

Did you know the fur on coats that are made in China is actualy dog???? People are walking around in America wearing dog fur that is how stupid China thinks we are.

China can't poison themselves fast enought for me.

Now, now, now. Ungulates are usually eaten alive, especially when more than one cat is present. Is it ugly to watch? Yes it is, but life in the wild is not politically correct. In fact it is very painful for the victim. In this zoo, the Chinese are actually doing a great favor for the world in preserving a large number of Tigers. Considering the alternative, these magnificent cats would be poached just to harvest their penis for herbal medicine. Send the Chinese a donation for their good work.

Yes, I know this is a zoo and not the "wilds". However, keeping these cats in a feeding state where they have to kill their prey is good for the gene pool. Sorry about the gore, but this is beneficial for the future of Tigers. GO ******s.

This throw-away attitude to animals exists all over. In Spain they torture bovines to death and call it their national sport.

There is no way this is beneficial for the future of tigers. In the wild, tigers are solitary animals, they would never hunt or bring down prey in a pack. By doing this it is making them dependant on pack behaviour. Not to mention they are already overwieght. It is just extreme animal cruelty. It is disgusting.
