At a time when so many resources are being pumped into improving consumer health through food, it is pitifully ironic that more and more people are getting sick or dying from what they eat because of safety slips.

      Apparently ConAgra Wasn't Proactive before this . All food suppliers can learn from these different outbreaks . It's not always about the stockholders . I'm convinced that if a company is doing everything wrong , but still turns a profit , that nothing will change .

          Any food producer who does not set up or increase it's food safety inspections and other food safety efforts after this past season is very stupid.....

            After raeding this artical yesterday !The food you purchase at the grocery store is UNFIT for human consuption as the PET food! Why would they allow all this tainted food in america "Who's are the IDIOTS that created "FREE TRADE CAFTA!!

              You are right STILLWATEROO. I work as a stocker and you can bet that your food is not mostly food. The only way to get to Bush is to dent his pocket book and that will probably take a week long boycott of everything including Wall street.

                You can wash you hands all you want. If germs or chemicals are in the food, it's in the food. The only safe food is what you grow yourself. You would probably buy your food from Hitler if he was alive.

                  Who Else to Blame for Cutting funds for laying off the majority of US FDA food Inspectors!The Food is being Importated from china ect ect to the US 24X7 and NOT being Inspected! thats not the Goverments FAULT! UNBELIEVABLE!

                  Then who else shall america blame= for the 50% increas of uninspected contamanated tainted food products just last yr that caused food related deaths !Inculding all the pets that died and LIFE THREATING ILLNESS from feeding them tainted food products from china!

                  Yes the USA USED TO HAVE one of the best food inspections on this earth !But Not No more since bushit took his throne!

                  The last few yrs chemicals have been sprayed on all MEAT! Raw meat from the grocery store stays RED without turning brown anymore as it use too within a few hrs! Now raw ground meat standing for a month ,it will stay red as the day it was purchased but has a glossy surface!
