So Limbaugh has a bigger audience in the State of Florida than Imus had nationally??

Wow!! Doesn't say much for the State of Florida, does it??

Of course, with Florida ranking #5 in violent crime, one can see the effect of listening to that crazy drug addict...

I think CBS caved more to the lost advertisers than to Sharpton and Jackson.

For the record, white people give those two motherf'ers their power. Speaking as someone who is partially black, we don't give a rats azz what they do. However, I think that there is a double standard in regards to where they get their money from. They probably get it from the same place where those religious freaks, like James Dobson, gets theirs

If Rush didn't get kicked off for popping pills or making fun of a guy with Parkinson's, there's a pretty good chance he's never going away.

You can't ban stupidity. But the stats cited above are way overblown. By Rush calculations he has an audience of 20 -25 million daily. That would mean rougly 1 in 10 Americans listens to Rush daily. I know some hardcore listeners and have listened to Rush plenty myself for research purposes. I can think of nothing more harmful to the average person's mental health than to expose themselves to such garbage daily. It is almost required that the thought process be suspended. Because Rush is going to tell how things really are for he next few hours. That something he describes as the intelligentsia is out to get you but you are to trust him because he, in fact, knows all. He is fair and impartial, yet at the same time in bed with the entire Bush Administration. You can't judge a book by its cover but if someone volunteers that they listen to Rush they are telling you alot about their potential for intelligent thought.

You remember Limbaugh, the guy who could get a hate-on but couldn't get a hard-on.

I don't know if Limbaugh is next or not. The person that I think should be fearful is Glenn Beck. In addition to having a radio show he has a 1 hour show on CNN's headline news. If he ever makes a similar gaff as Imus he will be toast. He is already on thin ice after that 'Muslim' remark that he made to the newly elected congressman. The MSNBC connection was a large part of why Imus went down. CNN would clearly be put in the same position. By bet is with Beck...he will be shown the door first.

Keep Limbuagh he is one of the funniest clowns on the radio. Seldom do his points show any logic other than "because it's my opinion it must be true"! He's flawed but why not keep him on?

In short who cares? I think the true audience is much smaller than predicted. How does anyone really know who is listening to what on the radio? Who can handle his self important rants more that a few minutes anyway?

Not a week goes by without Glenn Beck and Rush Limbaugh saying something so racist or stupid they end up on "Worst Person in the World". They have no right to complain about being 'chased off the air', or 'liberals are taking my rights to free speech'. Liberals aren't telling Rush to make racist statements like calling Obama and Berry a "Halfrican American". Media Matters.org is not telling Beck to call Clinton a 'stereotypical bitch'. If these guys want to protect their jobs, then they should STOP USING RACIST AND SEXIST REMARKS! it's not hard, people. Just look at all the comments on Netscape. If people here can talk and entertain each other without racist or sexist remarks, then so can they!

Of course, both of them are drug addicts. Maybe they should just blame the drugs and go back to rehab.

                    "Liberal Led", hmmm.

The first person I noticed clamoring for more on air personalities to be fired was Tom DeLay.

I'm confused...wasn't there a recent posting (article) on Netscape that the liberals would be losing a voice with Imus gone. If that's the case how do the Conservatives fear for Limbaugh? Sounds like the Consevatives are just basically afraid and are trying to make this another part of the culture wars. BTW...I think Imus, Limbaugh, Oreilly, Coulter, Robertson, Falwell, Drudge, etc. all look at life through a horses tail.

If Don Imus is a conservative then Ted Kennedy is the spokesman for AA.
