April 19, 2007, 11:42 p.m.So maybe we're almost to the point of a waiting game until more reasonable and rational people are in charge of Congress and the FDA? We can only hope that more reasonable minds will respond appropriately.
Thanks, mntnman444.

April 20, 2007, 12:44 a.m.Pot can't possibly be used to treat lung cancer. It might make the patient happy to be cancer free. Imagine what that would do to civilized society, not to mention oncology revenues.
But wait a minute. Oncology income is peanuts compared to the great tobacco lobby. This news might actually boost cigarette sales. Maybe it's something good Republicans can get behind after all.

April 20, 2007, 9:04 a.m.Funny how smoking weed can make you feel like just relaxing, eating sitting around, eating, sleeping, eating feeling happy, eating. Yet most people I know that smoke the herb, are pretty thin. Maybe it helps with weight loss too??
I need to lose some weight, I think I may start my own personal study ;-)

April 20, 2007, 10:48 a.m.Another government lie exposed. The federal government states that marijuana has no medicinal benefits and classifies it in the same category as heroin and morphine.

April 20, 2007, 11:58 a.m.Why do people find this so hard to believe? In the rain forest theree are so many natural healing plants and marijuana is just another one of natures medical benefits. I just don't understand the big deal people make over marijuana. In California we call it herb I just kind of believe to each his own. It would seem to me that if it works smoke it. I know some people say it works for RA better than any other drug they can take and no nasty side affects. Have you ever really listened to some of the side affects of modern drugs. The one tht gets me the most is Migrain Headache drugs, can cause heart problems in people "I just want to get rid of the headache" pot does the samething.

April 20, 2007, 12:13 p.m.Back in 1968 _eye_ believe, the Journal of Neurology reported a troublesome find that Acetylcholenesterase((the enzyme that triggers the synapse in nerve function. When you don't have your God given amount, your brain and nerve function are like a scractched record at variant speeds)) was antagonized by THC, as well as Brain cell production. Ironically, it was the excitment around this phenom that drove folk to see what this feeling was like, hince the phrase High Times was born.
If Cannibas Zea prolongs life challenged by such a catastrophic disease, I'd like to see more press, they could be on to something.

April 20, 2007, 12:23 p.m.It's high time we started a grass roots movement to amend the constitution to insure Americans have the right to grow Hemp once again and to freely use and sell all it's products.

April 20, 2007, 12:37 p.m.Pot is a natural substance. I just think for those who want to use it go for it and for those who don't then don't. I believe the same way about smoking I smoke but I don't drink. I don't smoke the herb but know people who do. And God knows if it helps them more power to em. I just feel it should be an personal choice.
