The Army is taking a series of "prudent measures" aimed at making sure delays in the bill financing the war do not harm troop readiness, according to instructions sent to Army commanders and budget officials April 14.

For weeks, Bush has been trying to force Congress to abandon its support for an Iraq withdrawal timeline by claiming that a "clean" Iraq spending bill must be signed by mid-April or U.S. troops will suffer.

Both the nonpartisan Congressional Research Service and the Pentagon have confirmed that Bush was WRONG.

Bush has been using propoganda and spin and fear-mongering to try to make the Dems look bad when it is HE that will keep the troops from getting their funds if he refuses to sign the bill that BOTH houses of Congress have passed.

Bush is NOT King but he continues to act like one ...

Bush can sign the bill, or he can veto.

What he can't do is write a bill to suit himself.

Keep demanding that the Democratic Party show "the courage of their convictions" and defund the war, and you might just inspire them to do just that.

Personally, I think they ought to defund the entire government, go home, and wait for all the neocons to wither away.
