April 19, 2007, 8:56 a.m.I don't thin that Mr. Bush (who "nominated" him for the position - the U.S. nominee gets the job) will allow Wolfie to step down until Gonzales has resigned and is free to step in!

April 19, 2007, 8:59 a.m."We still have full confidence, the president has full confidence in President Wolfowitz," White House spokesman Tony Fratto told reporters."
This comment by the White House spokesman says all.
They have confidence in Alberto Gonzales as well.
Thumbs down for Mr. Wolfowitz.

April 19, 2007, 9:02 a.m.If Wolfie is doing such a bad job, why hasn't Bush given him a medal of honor yet?
-

rightfromwrong
April 19, 2007, 9:02 a.m.why would he have any honor and step down? He is only a power
hungry and rich manipulator who pulled Bush's strings.

April 19, 2007, 9:22 a.m.Wolfowitz is just one more bad loss of integrity for the US from Bushy! How much failure, poor judgement and incompetant management can we tolerate before the whole country reacts? C

April 19, 2007, 9:25 a.m.Wolfowitz is a slime ball. He should not only stepdown, he should be arrested and imprisoned. One thing you can count on, anytime George Bush recommends anyone for a job that person is at best a shady character and most likely a felon.

April 19, 2007, 10:21 a.m.They had to have somewhere to hide him. After all he was the chief architect of the Iraq invasion plan. The supposed "genius" neo-con. Yet he couldn't keep his face out of the press. The man has a surprisingly large ego for such a f---up.
And I had always wondered what happened to Rosa Kleb after "From Russia with Love" until I saw his lover. Yikes!

April 19, 2007, 10:12 a.m.I just love seeing these crooks get their comeuppance one by one. Until shrub is dangling all by himself in the wind.
Please let it be sooner rather than later!

April 19, 2007, 10:36 a.m.I do not underestimate the carapace of power that this administration has created to shield the true players. The transfer of wealth under this administration is not orchestrated by Bush although he is a beneficiary. Wolfowitz, as head of the World bank is a key memeber in the group that is producing this puppet show. Gonzales is a gatekeeper of the public eye, but the really scary people are the ones who opperate in secrecy and this administration is full of them.

April 19, 2007, 10:48 a.m.Who is controlling Bush, as well as covering up the real story on 9/11? It's those people that are ruining this country and are in the shadows. They hate being exposed.

No wonder they want to control the internet, under the guise of 'revamping' it.

April 19, 2007, 10:52 a.m.It is just crazy these people migrate from job to job at the top level of government and commerce. Worse than Roman Emperors.

April 19, 2007, 10:56 a.m.Eventually the give and take that this administration has put on our people will take it's toll. If we were to elect the cabinets for the president's office, would it cut out some of the dishonest dealings?

April 19, 2007, 11:21 a.m.Just another Republican Conservative crony of the Bush administration that has been proven corrupt through nepotism. I find it ironic that he says he will not resign, sounds familiar. Most Americans would like to fire Bush but we are stuck in a rut for two more years.
The sad part of the Bush administration and his degenerate religious espousing regime, even with all the deaths and misery they have inflicted on America and the world, they sleep peacefully at night. But thats a true Republican Conservative, money is power and you do not cede power as with Wolfowitz.
The entire Bush administration should be tried for war crimes against the world. I find it shameful that the Democrats are taking their sweet time while this war continues with an increased daily death toll.

April 19, 2007, 11:24 a.m.Paul Wolfowitz:
I urge you & your girlfriend to resign from the World Bank IMMEDIATELY. You are one of the Prime Architects for the Iraq Disaster and have RIVERS of blood on your hands. You and the rest of the Bush Gang stole two elections while at the same time bragging about "Restoring Honor". Some restoration. Now, at the World Bank, you bring that same attitude of entitlement which illegally allowed your girlfriend to receive unearned raises & promotions. Please do America a favor and take your entitlements, ideas, and girlfriend to the scrapyard where they belong. Thirty-two Americans dead at Virginia Tech? A quiet day in Bagdad where scores of innocent people die EVERYDAY. See ya....wouldn't want to be ya.
REGIME CHANGE!!

April 19, 2007, 11:28 a.m.Another Bush hypocrite to join the ranks of Cheney, Rice, Gonzalves, Rowe, DeLay, Sore Loserman (that Jewish pig).
Why not give these jerks a one way ticket to Baghdad and tell them take a cab to the hotel.

April 19, 2007, 12:31 p.m.If Wolfowitz goes, and he should, he'll be replaced by another crony.....another right wing neo-con sympathiser who probably has some sinister agenda to satisfy special interests. This appointment didn't pass the smell test in the first place.

April 19, 2007, 12:54 p.m.Wolfowitz:
Head of the World Bank? I have a title for you that would fit you better than the two-thousand dollar suits you wear: WANTED BY INTERPOL FOR WAR CRIMES IN IRAQ. He who sews the wind, reaps the whirlwind.

April 19, 2007, 1:17 p.m.OK, we are all working for the World Bank. One Deputy to Wolfowitz stands up and says, hey Boss, I think you need to resign. If I were the boss, I would answer, you are fired.
Let's look at this another way. Wolfowitz was hired by and reports to his Board Members. Wolfowitz does not report to his Deputy. However, the deputy must have a big set of woolies as insubordination at this level is usually the kiss of death for your job.
-

April 19, 2007, 1:37 p.m.That reminds me of those 3 attornies quitting rather than work for another neocon appointee in Minnesota. That Deputy is cut from the same cloth.

April 19, 2007, 1:52 p.m.To say that the "wolf" is in the hen house would be an understatement in the worst way. His actions in many arenas have killed perhaps millions yet he is the head of the world bank.Yikes.
Kind of like putting OBL in charge of the I.A.E.A.

April 19, 2007, 3:35 p.m.Wolfie is a powermad, lying, principle-less, money grubbing, greedy, murdering neocon. Lets put him incharge of the world bank. Cons love it when corruption ruins an organization that helps the poor, or is supposed to.
In Ohio, this freak in charge of investing workmans comp, steals millions from it, and gives it to Republican candidates, including dubbah. The perfect con crime.
