Duly Consider: The Question That Won't Go Away --- Will Cho Go Down As a Hero, Martyr? »

Posted by: trnscndr 2 years, 8 months ago

The question is, who determines whether or not someone is a hero or a martyr? Both are only perceptions. There is no question he will be understood for his rage against a society that has been cruel to him and people like him. As for martyrdom, he made himself a martyr whether we like it or not; the coverage alone accomplished that. His picture hol

Why is it our heart stops at the point where murder is no longer officially endorsed?

The worst school massacre, yes. The worst massacre, no. Sadly, the worst I can remember was 24 children and 62 adults being burned to death in Waco Texas, after US forces tear gassed them, because they didn't want to give up their rights to freedom of association or the right to bear arms. How many innocents were massacred in Iraq in a single day in our "Shock and Awe" attack? How many burned to death in Dresden due to blanket bombing by US forces? How many were killed in Hiroshima and Nagasaki?

Oh, but I guess all of those were ok, because they were in the name of freedom and patriotism. Please!

You have a very compelling view. I think you might be a bit premature to discuss it this close to the killings. People need time to heal before talking and remembering the event. You will only raise emotional responses even if you are correct.

Silence, when you sue Transgender as namecalling, shame on you. In case you are truly that ignorant, to transcend means to rise above it all, which I will. And, yes, I use the word military as a dirty word when we see them used as pawns of a misguided policy of corporate interests, sending people to their deaths so they can foment more horror and fear.

Now, you might consider spelling lessons and find the Caps Lock key on your keyboard. Your use of "Demacrap, Transgender and Bubba", insult a huge majority of Americans; Anyone who is a member of the Democrat party or from the south or sensitive to people affected by gender issues, none of which is relevant here. Get out! We don't need you here! It is people like you that create people like Cho.
