Six others were released pending trial, the court said. It was unclear what charges the six faced and a trial date has not yet been set. A 12th suspect, who tried to escape from police by jumping from a fourth-floor balcony at the scene of the killings, remains hospitalized in stable condition and was expected to be charged later.

The three victims - a German man and two Turks who converted to Christianity - were killed Wednesday at a Christian publishing house in Malatya.

Turkey prides itself as a "moderate" Islamic country. If this is an example if moderate Islam, the more severe brands are frightening indeed! This country wants to be a part if the EEC. Perhaps to do it's part in converting the EEC to Islam?

"Midnight Express" is a good movie to see to get an idea of Turkish justice at work.

I will never know how some people can justify killing others in the name of any religion. And any person that tells them its ok has got to be sick.

I know I get critisized for my views on "moderate" Islam, but I ask you. HAve you ever seen a "support our troops" sign in front of a Mosque or Islamic Center? Have you heard even one Immam call for an end to the targeting of civillians by Hezbollah or Hamas? Has any Islamic head of state actually publicly denounced Osama Bin Laden, (without ******-footing about it)? Has in the entire history of Islam a treaty been made with an Islamic potentate that wasn't violated by that same potentate once the opposition was lulled into a sense of peace?

If anyone can tell me of a valid, verifiable and documentable instance, I am open to a change of mind
