    Gas prices varied in Lufkin on Frank Street Saturday, but averaged about $2.77 a gallon with Exxon and Texaco selling for $2.77 a gallon, Conocco at Brookshire Brothers selling for a cent less at $2.76 a gallon and Pal's Video Plus selling for the lowest price at $2.72 a gallon. The fright factor isn't what it used to be, said John Gerdes, energy analyst at SunTrust Robinson Humphrey. "People are willing to pay $3 a gallon."
