    There is close to a consensus by experts that hydrogen, if produced benignly, is the Holy Grail. But it needs to be produced by electrolysis of water, using electricity generated via low-impact, renewable energy sources such as solar, wind, tidal or geo-thermal, or perhaps via bacterial or enzyme action.

    We are still a long way from that reality.

    Until the hydrogen solution is realized, there are alternatives that can soothe your green conscience and have a positive impact on the environment, in the right circumstances.
