I've been looking forward to Skybus launching for awhile (since I live in Columbus). I hope their "spare all expense" approach pays off. I was able to book a round-trip ticket to Boston for all of about $35 bucks when taxes and fees were added in.

To be fair, Skybus only offers 10 seats per flight at that rate, but that's still 10 more than every other airline.

They also charge extra for additional amenities such as food or drinks on the plane, blankets or pillows, the opportunity to preboard, and $5 per bag checked (for the first two, $50 after that). They have no telephone number to call; you can only contact them or book flights through their website.
You must check-in at least 30 minutes prior to your flight. If you don't, you miss the flight. There won't be anyone available to check you in. All tickets are non-refundable.

It makes sense though. Why pay for services you may not use? By enforcing these rules in their passengers (such as the check-in rule), they'll be able to keep their flights on-time.
The airline industry has long suffered from massive losses at the slightest downturn in the market. It's time somebody did some new thinking about how to run one.
I wish Skybus all the luck in the world.
