April 26, 2007, 3:13 a.m.I love all things Star Trek AND Star Wars! Can't get enough! As a child I was in love with Mark Hamill and as an adult, 7-of-9 (post Borg expungement) is my hero. Ok, I admit it, I am a total geek.

April 26, 2007, 10:06 a.m.Star wars is like an old childhood favorite from 30 years ago. You have fond memories of it. You remember the best parts of it. And your brain as erased all the bad things.
Of course when you watch it again as an adult its like looking at the Easter Bunny at the mall. You know its fake, it looks fake, and wonder why you thought it was cool when you were a little kid.
That is Star Wars. A memory from the past best left there. The last time I made the mistake of watching it on TV I realized just how bad it was. Sets that looked real cheesey... the Maytag repairman is flying an X-wing... The aliens look little better than muppets.... the lines are beyond silly... and the special effects that in '77 were special are pathetic by todays standards.
Its a shame George can't just move on and do something else... he's already ruined the star war franchise with the last three movies does he have to keep kicking a dead horse?
